Close to Royal Deeside and set amidst magnificent scenery, the Spittal of Glenshee Hotel is the perfect base for an array of activities. It is a hillwalker's paradise: there are more than 12 interesting and varied walks, starting and/or ending at the Spittal. For the serious Munro Bagger there are 21 Munros within a 14 mile radius of the nearby Cairnwell pass. The highest golf course in Britain is only 1 mile away and horseriding, stalking, fishing, shooting, mountain biking and hang gliding schools are all available nearby. The hotel has 54 bedrooms, all of which have en suite facilities as standard and come equipped with telephone, television, trouser press and tea/coffee making facilities. Food is available throughout the day, from bar snacks to carvery meals, and guests can enjoy the use of the games room - open till 11pm with two pool tables and a darts room. The hotel's bar, with welcoming log fire, is also open till 11pm 7 days a week. This is a very pet friendly hotel, with dogs allowed into bedrooms and the lounge, although they must have their own bed and be fed outside. There is a heated outdoor kennel available if required. Alternatively, if you'd just like some company while walking the magnificent hills, the hotel's resident springer spaniels are available on request!
