Pleasantly surprised that the room had a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, coffee maker and refridgerator, not listed in the description. Don't think bedspreads were thoroughly cleaned. This is not a luxury motel, but a solid value for the money.
Plastic bags in trash were too thin and broke when i tried to put a new one in; coffee grounds and trash spilled. Soaps were dried up and fell apart when the package was opened; still, the room was a solid value.
I really enjoyed the view from the balcony, it was amazing. I also liked the fire place that was in the room.
I didn't like the coffee that was provided, there was only enough cream and sugar for one cup.
We were booked to stay in one of the family cottages. It did not meet our expectations. They did however have a log cabin available for just a little more cost.
The family cottage was very musty and needed updating.
A cold front moved through and the heat was great in the cabin! Some things have been updated and were quite nice - like the new front door and the kitchen area. The cabin we were in was very clean. It was quiet and private. Staff was friendly.
Other things have not been updated and should be - all the window blinds were a mess. The futon in the living area is not comfortable seating for watching tv. The bedding is very dated and not comfortable. There was nowhere to hang clothes.
It was convenient for catching the bus to the Highland Games on Grandfather Mt.
The room stunk! It smelled like an ash tray.
Access to other sites.
The plumbing is old and very noisy. Bath fan was very loud. Lighting was very weak; hard to read by the night stand light.
I think it was a little over priced for what you get. I'm assuming the cabins are a lot better than the actual hotel rooms.
The staff person at check in was less than friendly.
The motel does not look like the picture-it is an old style one-story right on the street. Room smelled very bad like mold. Refrigerator was very loud. Staff shrugged when told about smell in room. Room had only one dim light in main space. High Price.
The location was good. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It is an older motel. No amenities. Overpriced for what they advertised. Water was horrible, pipes would rattle and shake then spit air. Zero water pressure. No WiFi connection at all/no cell service. Could hear people above. Lamps did not work.
Very clean and neat. New furnishings. VERY COZY and pretty quiet.
Bathroom dated (except for new floor tile), but functional. I could hear, rather clearly, conversations of guests in the room below. A creepy orange van was parked outside the building.
Room was verfy adequate for the three of us
There was a problem with the door that the staff was going to take care of.
The motel section was clean. The price was right.
There was a fair amount of road noise because the motel is right on a busy highway.
