Pros:Repair guy was nice. Close to Silver Dollar City.
Cons:"New Management" is not any better. We were punished because we booked through Expedia! One of the showers was not working and so they came out twice to fix it. Repair guy said they just didn't want to spend the money on parts because they were remodeling. That is understandable, so I asked that a portion be taken off of our bill for the inconvenience. We have small children and trying to bath everyone in halfway working bathroom is hard to do. Especially when we paid for a working hotel/cabin! The office people said Expedia does not pay them for the rooms they sell, and they couldn't do anything for us. How about "I'm really sorry we could not provide you with basic necessities that your paying almost $500 for. " The toilets are rusty, the bedding is clearly not washed often, there were dead bugs on the floor that we found as our babies were crawling toward them to try and pick them up, the list goes on. It is described as "luxury lakeside cabins," but they are definitely not luxurious. I'm not sure how they have a 3-star rating. DO NOT STAY HERE! NEW MANAGEMENT WILL NOT HELP!
Pros:The lake view is gorgeous. Condo comes with lots of great amenities such as a washer/dryer in the suite (wonderful to have!) and a fully equipped kitchen. The extra murphey bed and sofa meant we could have slept four couples in a one-bedroom, but it was very comfortable for six. Dining room with six chairs, we were able to cook full meals and feed all of us. Balcony is smoking friendly with an ash tray and a fan which was also nice. Staff went out of their way for us with a couple of special requests. The fireplace was great and the A/C was powerful and kept us cool during 100 degree weather.
Cons:There was a wasp problem outside and it was widespread, so I don't think it was their fault. Every balcony had a can of Raid on it. But they weren't aggressive. Lots of the amenities were a bit old and rustic, but I actually thought that was charming and not too much of a detraction. There's not much in the way of shopping on the point, so there are a couple of stores to get basic sundries but you have to drive for a few miles to get to a real grocery store.
