Cons:Car was very basic model. Done light even had to be operated by hand

Pros:Changing my reservation was a nightmare with conflicting price quotes and unexpected charges. I actually ended up returning the car to the Budget office at the Philadelphia Airport, and that was a straight up nightmare. It took 40 minutes, partly due to mistakes,and no one knew what they were doing.
Cons:Transparent honest pricing. If anything goes wrong, you have to call corporate customer support. Don't expect any help from the local office.

Pros:Excellent car with small added cost for upgrade. Budget was almost as customer friendly as SW Airlines when needed to change times at the last minute because of hurricane. Loved the fact that there was no hint that the car had been smoked in. Experience with other Budget rentals indicates a need for stronger enforcement of the no smoking policy
Cons:After leaving pickup had to return for instructions on several dash, light and mirror issues. Some help was received when I immediately returned to pickup. On returning the car the agent was somewhat dismissive when I mentioned an occasional vibration on front wheel at highway speeds. Felt that he did not report it.
Cons:The car was filthy and the front end was falling apart. I was very disappointed. When I dropped it in Boston the agent joked how she knew it came from Portland me
