When I searched, the price was displayed in Canadian dollars, but when I completed the booking, it was processed in U.S. dollars. In addition, the room had a noticeable smell of smoke.

The car only had just over half a tack of petrol at pickup and it could have been cleaner. The staff responded well, but it should have been fully fueled and ready. We also had issues with the insurance - this could be a Kayak problem. At pickup, I was told we didn't have standard insurance, which I though wasn't even possible. We had to pay extra to get standard insurance! I can understand full cover with zero excess being optional for extra cost, but standard is legally required, so I do not understand why it wasn't included by Kayak.

a line of over 100 people. only 2 people at counter. we cancelled and went to another company. I'll never rent from budget again

I had a car reserved for July 3rd. My flight was changed and budget said I didn't need to change the pick up time bc they hold the car for 24hrs. But when I arrived they had closed for the day more than 3 hours early!! and I was staying over an hour from the airport. I had to call a ride and go back and get the car the next day. They said they were out of cars and had to put me through with avis and I didn't even get the vehicle I had reserved....they only had a smaller vehicle which really effected our transportation on the trip. Needless to say not impressed.

First 2 vehicles given to us needed oil changes (we were about to drive 3600 miles) - check in counter people very unfriendly and uncooperative. Third vehicle was not what we reserved but had to take it anyway. Seemed like we were on a third world backwater instead if LAX. Took over 2 hours for us to be on our way at 2:30 AM. Took involvement of manager yo straighten it out and even he was having difficulty. Very poor performance by all.

I am a Budget customer for life following my experience with Manchester Airport auto rental. And I want to ensure I credit Sabeena! She is excellent and very customer focused. Give this girl a giant raise and encourage everyone else in the airport to be more like Sabeena
