Pick-up took 2 hours in line because they didn’t have the right car for everyone and had only 1 person for a long time. Totally miserable. Car was fine but waiting that long was insane. No other rental counter had a line.

Car wasn't ready at the time I reserved so had to wait for another vehicle. Then when I got the car it was dirty and had trash from the prior customer. Also, the facility in downtown DC was dirty. The underground garage where you pick up the vehicle had busted old furniture that they just had sitting in one of the parking spaces. I expect more from a brand name rental car company.

Even though I completed the early registration before arriving at the rental car center, there were no agents available, and my vehicle had not yet been assigned. All Budget and Avis customers were directed to the same queue, resulting in a wait of more than 1.5 hours at 2:00 a.m. At the end, I left by car ride and cancelled the car rental
