Took 1.5 hrs to return car due to poor process at this location. Offered minimum compensation for all their mistakes from beginning to end. Never rent from San Diego again!

They could not find our reservation and told us we needed to make a new one. They could not honor the price and we paid 3x more than our original price. They said it's a communication issue between Kayak and the local car rental company Budget/Unidas. It is very frustrating to plan and and face this inconvenient & expensive 'surprises' on the spot. I will never again book anything using Kayak as a third party.

I didn't like that they didn't have the car I rented or any electric. The trip cost me $50 more because I would have been able to charge the electric very inexpensively at my house. I had to have a gas car. It was nice of them giving me a slightly better car but I didn't like that it didn't have windows I could put down if I wanted.

The pick up was easy, finding the vehicle etc. Staff at the airport were great as well.

All went smoothly picking up car as Budget is just outside airport exit. When I returned the car the Budget representative had a quick walk around the car, checked fuel was full and said all looks good. None of the normal pointing out marks that were already on the car and me having to pull out my photos from pickup to prove damage was already on the car. Good Experience . Will be booking with Budget in future until I have a bad experience.

Final cost was way over what the original price was. I didn’t know budget was off-site. Would not have used it

They didn't have anything like the car I rented (I rented an electric car and they didn't have any). Instead I was give a huge gas guzzling Ford. They didn't offer any change in the price of my rental.

Office is small and oddly run. They wouldn’t accept my credit card’s coverage as insurance though every major car rental company does.
