I was almost insisted to upgrade the car with cost. There was no choice to avoid upgrade.

When we arrived to get our car all they had left were electric cars. We were never told it could be electric . We are in our mid to late 70s and don’t have a clue how to charge it. My husband spent 2 days finding a place that he was able to use then stood in the 85 degree sun to figure out how to charge it, after someone at the other charger helped him download the app ect .My advise do not rent an electric car to the elderly in Mesa .

Couldn’t even pick up the car wait was over 90 minutes, cancelled and went to hertz got served immediately

It was hard to hear the person checking me in because of the noise in that area. I'm not sure how that could be alleviated, though, may if he was on my level instead of a raised area where he was talking over my head

Reserved a mini van months in advance. When I arrived to pick up my rental I was told there was no mini vans available and was forced to take an SUV. We drove 12.5 hours crammed in a rental I did not reserve. Absolutely the worst rental experience. Will never rent here again.

Budget and Avis (same company) rented the same car out of the same spot to two different people. I was the one that had to go all the way back to the airport terminal to get it sorted out. They got me a different car, which only had 3/4 tank of gas when I started it. All these problems were resolved by a few friendly customer service personnel, but all of this was avoidable with some conscientious workers and appropriately integrated systems.

When I picked up the car I had an unexpected $430.00 mandatory insurance premium charged. I bought insurance though KAYAK and was charged the extra at the airport. Staff did were not very interested in inspecting the car when I picked it but went over it with a fine tooth comb when I dropped it off. They were especially interested in the under carriage as the speed bumps are very high in some places and the under carriage will drag going into their parking lot. Not a very welcoming experience and I felt like they were trying to not to reimburse the 35,000 past deposit that they charged on to of the extra insurance. Never have been treated that way in any country renting a car and I for years I rented weekly.

Car Pickup was as expected. Original rental broke down via maintenance issue. Budget was unable to assist during this issue. Outstanding cost of tow to be rectified.
