In the heart of the French Riviera (Côte d Azur), nestled between Nice and Cannes, stands the medieval village of Haut-de-Cagnes, a heritage site classed as a Monument of France. Close to the Grimaldi Castle and Museum, you will find a 14th Century inn, which has been beautifully transformed into a chic, charming and elegant guesthouse by the renowned interior designer Estelle Reale. The Irish owners continue to maintain and respect the character and heritage of this historic site. On entering Villa Estelle, you will be instantly in awe of the villa s vast terrace with Florentine-style columns, which leads to its Mediterranean terraced gardens planted with palm and orange trees, bougainvillea and white laurel shrubs in flower six months of the year. This charming guesthouse boasts large guestrooms as well as personalised suites, all tastefully furnished and decorated with both antique and contemporary pieces. The Ochre Guestroom and the Pergola Guestroom, as well as the three suites: The Estelle Suite, the Salmon Junior Suite and the Celadon Suite with sea view. All our guestrooms and suites are en suite and offer guests a range of toiletries from a well-renowned local perfumery. Moreover, our rooms have a flat-screen TV, mini bar, air conditioning, safe, and wireless internet access and can accommodate a baby bed (provided free of charge). For the comfort of all our guests, our rooms and common areas are non-smoking. Breakfast is served on the large Italian-style terrace, which enjoys a view to the sea. A warm welcome awaits you at Villa Estelle, where every effort will be made to ensure you receive a first-class service designed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Casual, Home-Like Environment. Very friendly place. Wonderful base to visit Haute de Cagnes and the Castle area.
Access a bit difficult due to steep street. Taxi or free mini-bus is best, avoiding the uphill walk. (Bus stops about 1-2 blocks above hotel).
Location, athmosphere, the villa was beatiful
Maybe a little expensive for one person. I would have liked to lock the room.
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We were made very welcome from the outset and it really was a home from home.
It is rather difficult loading and unloading the car due to the narrowness of the road but Sonia was extremely kind and helpful so it wasn't too bad.
