When I first arrived at the rental counter at Cleveland/Hopkins airport, the clerk informed me my rental had been made at another Cleveland location miles away. When I asked if there was anything she could do to help me she imphaticaly said no. A supervisor happened to be there and came to my rescue. She was wonderful. The first clerk was not going to even try to help or ask the supervisor if anything could be done. To her, the mistake and inconvenience didn't matter. Once the supervisor helped things went well and quick. My return person was great!Cons:
Perhaps train clerks in regards to customer service. They appear to have NO desire to help solve problems. Thank goodness for a competent supervisor!2.0 Poor

Pros:
Car rental was set for 6:00-- I arrived to the lot at 6:02 as a function of traffic and work. No-one was there to be found as they had closed at 6:00 on the dot which is interesting since this was my pickup time (how can you close at 6 and also rent a car at 6?). Anyways, I called "customer no service" who refused to help me in any fashion. They would not find me a comparable truck anywhere nearby without significant fees. The best they could offer was to replace my $298 rental for a >$600 rental, which is in no way comparable. Needless to say, I ate the loss and rented a car with enterprise. I will never use Hertz or this location again and I'd advise you do the same.Cons:

They gave a car without cruise control and they did not inform me even if they knew I was going on a 800m drive. They offered me satellite radio for example but they never thought of offering me a cruise control even at higher prices. I realized way to late that there was no cruise control, while on my drive. When I asked for a different car even in a different town they claimed there was none. The car I had was vibrating really badly at higher speeds (I am not sure if it was the mirror or the door) and the speedometer was jumping over 2-3 miles at these speeds instead of being continuous...This car had a milage of 33K but it drove like it had 130K. I would have never taken it in a long drive if I knew how it drove. I was hoping I was bringing it back in one piece. I will not rent again from this company.10.0 Wonderful

I was renting a car for work and when I arrived at my scheduled time to pick up the car they informed they had no cars and would not have a car for me. I missed all my work appointments and had to rent a car from another company.7.6 Good

I used my debit card to pick up my car but it cannot pass the SSN check since the system is for credit only. I successfully used my debit card to complete all online process and there is no any notice telling me that until I walked 30 min to pick up the car and then get stuck there for an hour.4.4 Mediocre

***Gas tank could not be opened to refuel before returning. At drop-off, the second attempt by the Budget employee was successful only with the help of a screwdriver to pry the tank cover open. Then, we were told we would have to go to a nearby gas station an fill the tank ourselves (we are talking possibly 2 gal), and then come back to return the car. Otherwise, we would be charged a $20 refueling fee. The whole drop-off process took almost an hour.
