I traveled with African American companions. The rooms were already checked in but the man at the front desk decided to make my friends check in again even though they already had keys. I walked up to to this happening and the man at the front desk quickly changed his story and said he was getting their name in case they got locked out. The only problem is I told him that wouldn’t be necessary. When I reported it to the manager in the morning I got an underwhelming half apology saying these things shouldn’t be happening but no offer to make it right. No compensation if any kind. This is already the lowest standard of all of the four season I have been to globally. I wish I would have stayed in the Ritz while in a Chicago.
Pros. They anticipate your needs. Awesome concierge desk. Great staff. Beautiful view. Wonderful resto and bar. Nicely decorated for Christmas .
Pros. Great location, beautiful hotel, wonderful service and quiet..?very comfortable and luxurious.
Pros. The food options were excellent.
Cons. We had a very strange smell in our room and had to change rooms. The hotel did not offer any kind of discount for the inconvenience and it was our 10th anniversary, which they were aware of. I would expect more out of a hotel with its standards and reputation.
