My king bed was actually a king box spring with two twin mattresses. Who does that? The seam is right in the middle of your back.
Smallest room I've ever seen. Valet parking outrageously expensive.
The hotel is centrally located and the staff was accommodative. Just be aware the rooms are tiny
Great location, very good restaurant in the hotel.
Have to wait along time for elevator, then it broke down along with the coffee machine.
The River Hotel is very conveniently located and has a nice restaurant downstairs that has a nice beverage selection and even deep dish Chicago pizza (along with a diverse selection of salads, pasta, and meat dishes). The A/C was great and the mattress was comfortable. We were able to check in an hour and a half early, which was very nice.
The room was tiny - literally the same size as many of the hotel rooms we stayed in in Japan. The toiletries and furnishings were the bare minimum - don't forget to bring the bar of soap to the shower if you want to use it there instead of at the sink! Finally, the elevator situation is terrible. Multiple times, we had to wait well over 10 minutes for an elevator to get to our room. Be sure to budget in extra time if you're on a schedule!
Room very clean and cozy. Excellent location for downtown. Great value for the money.
It was difficult to locate and find initally when we were driving and trying to checkin.
Incredible views of the river and downtown. Walking distance to Navy Pier, Willis Tower and lots of other great restaurants and fun places. Staff was very helpful, have a son in a wheel chair and they went out of their way to help. Great Italian/pizza restaurant in lobby. Historic style building with very clean modern rooms.
The staff were helpful, friendly. The location was ideal - central and walking distance to most things we wanted to see and do. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The water they make available near the lifts on each floor was a welcome treat since the weather was very hot during our stay. We also stayed with them for our 2nd visit to Chicago.
the hotel is very neat.
it seemed to me that there were very few staff around at any given time and that made me to feel isolated and virtually alone. the service points appear all automated and as a result, the human touch was absent.
Very close to the city centre with excellent views of the river and a very comfortable room
Soaps, shampoos, milks and tea were not replenished
Excellent location, check in, check out was very efficient. Liked the bottled water in the hall by the elevators.
the location is very good.
The room clean service.
This hotel is good, but the better is your localization. It's closer River and Michigan Ave.
It's do not have breakfast.
close to Michigan Avenue
bad noise in duct everytime air came on. kept me awake most of the night. advertised as 2 room suite, but NOT 2 separate rooms - very misleading.
I could not find anything that I disliked. I drove to Chicago and used the valet parking which was very convenient.
Our room was awesome. Very very comfortable!
Allowed to check in early.
Tv screens are too small
