The price was great for value received. It is right off the freeway, but down a short dead end road that kept the noise down. There are a lot of restaurants near by for dinner, a nice free breakfast and free USA Today papers available.
The internet went out for one night, but it went out for the hotel next door as well! The plastic silverware at breakfast could be a little stronger. Need a new TV in the lobby. They had instant oatmeal, bagels, toast, yogurt, eggs and waffles available for free breakfast. It is an old hotel and not a resort. But for the price they charged, it would be hard to beat.
Convenient and inexpensive
Dust on room furniture Loud noises at 3:15 am. Construction? Hair in bathtub.
Shower stallI have passed up property in past. My daughter is in college nearby, and comments about broken pool dissuaded me. Booked in last minute on PL and got discount rate, so I tried it. Desk clerk said property was being managed during receivership. The best part was breakfast, better than nearby property where I usually book. Clerk said pool has been fixed , and I walked to see it, it was clean. In the room I had King-no smoking. Old tube tv, no new upgrades. Nice plain room. Shower was old fiberglass with scalloped shelves that take up parts of the shower. This particular tub, if you want to take bath the plug was sitting on side to plug it up. New style bedcover, and sheet. I pulled off bedspread, only had sheet left.
Close to shopping
Old, not clean, staff was not friendly, staff was unattentive.See above The staff could not give me a price break due to me bilking online through Priceline. Not enough towels, towels were thin. Housekeeping was great!! For the money paid, this hotel was terrible!!!! Never again!!
Location was great. Only about 20 miles from UGA, making it a great option when everything is booked up on game weekends.
Older motel that could really use a face lift.Location was great. Only about 20 miles from UGA, making it a great option when everything is booked up on game weekends. Overall this is an older motel in need of a face lift, but everything was clean (which is what mattered most). We got a great deal through Priceline, so it was definitely worth it. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was better than expected.
Kelly at the front desk was so genuine and pleasant I truly a appreciated her professionalism. She made my mother and I feel welcome and I would consider staying at this hotel again because of its outstanding service.
Breakfast was gross. The whole hotel has been redone, great staff, good location and just a plain, gross breakfast. Stay here but don't eat here.
Pet friendly and price
Tub in the living r oom, carpet and towels dirty, internet too weak to connect
Very dated. A stretch for 2 starsNot the best 2 star I have stayed in. Bed was good but badly needs an update.
Staff were great and very friendly. Very clean room.
The first night there was no hot water which made showering cold. Fixed the next morning. The bathroom is small, the door opens inwards which made no sense given the small space. You couldn't close the door without being in the tub.I liked the hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It was clean and the staff were very nice. I would say that the pool really should be fixed sometime soon, as it was quite warm and a swim would have been really nice. The hot water was not working my first night, but it was fixed the next morning and the repairman even came down to my room to let me know which I thought was very nice of him. Other than the water and the pool, I have no complaints.
