This property is amazing but could use a little updating and additional support staff. It is difficult to get support from the lobby staff because there is always a line of guests checking in or out. Free shuttle service to the sister property, "The Inn", is great for dinner options and the resort is beautiful. Reservations are often required at both facilities.

Pros (+) Good location
Cons (-) Room was so so clean shower was poor. Linens were old and not very clean

Pros (+) The staff was super friendly, each time we interacted with them. We had a nice, relatively inexpensive burger at the19th Hole Grill. And, we are able to upgrade to the Inn very easily.
Cons (-) For the money, the rooms were just grubby. We were very surprised, in a not-good way. We did the breakfast buffet the one morning we were at the Ranch: the eggs were cold, the fruit was turning ... Everything is expensive in DV but if you can swing it, go to the Inn instead. The Inn is lovely!

Pros (+) This is a cool (not temperature wise) place to visit. Room was comfortable, pool is great, facilities are excellent.
Cons (-) Take all the food you will want with you. The store is excellent and has a good variety, and the prices are super fair for where you are, however they are crazy expensive. The restaurant is excellent, and fairly priced for the location, however still pretty over the top price wise.

Thomas, Dec 2018
Pros (+) Good location for Death Valley stay. Sprawling resort with lots of green space and fire pits. The staff was very nice. The newly renovated restaurant was very nice, however the food was mediocre and overpriced.
Cons (-) Our room was really a dump. Beds were advertised as queen sized but were really just doubles, and not very comfortable. Carpet was dirty and torn. Walls needed paint badly....they were beat up and stained all over. Luke warm water only.

Pros (+) The Ranch layout and facilities were excellent, except for two items;
Cons (-) Patrons should be warned ; - not to wear flip-flops when going hiking, AND - cars should not be parked within range of the lawn sprinklers, since the water contains minerals that stain paint AND are not easily removed from windshields, even with scrubbing !!

Pros (+) Location provided a great center for touring Death Valley over a 2 day time period.
Cons (-) Roach in the tub. Torn up furniture. Motel 6 like accommodations, Ritz Carlton prices.
