Cons:The employees at the counter are there are the rudest and unprofessional people that you could meet in a foreign country. I recommend any other rental company but Dollar. This company needs to really put their best customer service people in their counters to greet and care about their customers. It takes only one person to ruin a company. I suggest to take Nancy off the counter immediately if you want to keep your customers from renting from you again. I used rent there every month and I was a loyal customer, but after meeting with Nancy at the counter I will never go back to Dollar in Panama.

Pros:Car was OK but not what we ordered. The people at the booth were very nice but they could do nothing without cars.
Cons:Seinfeld 1985 and Panama 2015 You know how to make a reservation .. you just do not know how to hold a reservation. The start of the annual vacation was not great. On arrival at the airport in Panama City, Panama we found many people at the Dollar rental car booth. Every single person was waiting for a car. It seems that there were no cars available. It did not matter if you had a reservation or not…. “but we had a reservation”. We had rented a minivan. They could not tell us when any car would be available. Our first choice was a 19 -passenger bus. After considering this it turned out it was in for repairs. Almost three hours later we were offered a Toyota truck. Although it only held four people comfortably we managed to squeeze six in. The luggage was in back in the flatbed part so at each light we were alert to make sure no one took the luggage. The truck also did not have an EZPass so we could not take any of the toll roads. We had to wander through Panama City relying only on WAZE to get us out of the city to the Pan American highway.

Pros:The vehicle was ready for me when I arrived.
Cons:The amount quoted for may stay was $95.00. My actual cost... $721.58. A lot more transparency is required here, there are many fees and additional required services. So while the actual cost of the car rental was indeed $95.00, that is obviously not where they make their money, it is in the fees where are not disclosed until you are there and it is too late to back out. As an additional kicker, I was charged $80 to vacuum the sand out of the car.

Cons:I secured rental cost but upon my pickup agent stated in Panama I must purchase their insurance coverage to get the vehicle. Very disappointing not reading or finding the fine print anywhere to sign on to their high cost when my insurance has always covered my car rentals in the US.

Cons:Customer service in ocean trum location is terrible . The front desk attendant is rude and inefficient.

Cons:Upon our rental return, it was questioned about a missing part underneath the hood of the car tire. This location of the car was not inspected by the Dollar staff at the time of rental nor pointed out to us. Thankfully, we were not charged for this. However, it made me question if this is something Dollar does in Panama City? I highly recommend that all renters ensure everything is inspected around the car and under the car with the Dollar representative at the time of your pickup to avoid shadiness by the staff upon your rental return.
