the view from the hotel was fantastic
bedroom needed updating
Nice and quite, very good staff we will return again, andagain. Nisbet C.Dalgleish.
Pleasant staff, pleasant location.
The sheets on our bed had clearly not been changed since the previous occupants had used the bed. The bottom sheet was crumpled in and we had to brush hairs from it. If we had not been so exhausted, we would have asked for a change of room or bedding. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable.
friendly,good food.good room, pleasant location
A friendly hotel with a pleasant bar and a hearty breakfast
A plethora of warning signs - many of them totally pointless. My room had an faint odour reminiscent of the days when smoking was permitted and was looking a little tired. Pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Previous experiences in different rooms have been better.
Good staff and food. Very friendly atmosphere. Good enough for us to stay on the return trip on Saturday 9th October.
Some redecoration needed in a few areas but rooms was good.
We had booked a twin room yet when we arrived they had put it down as a double. They weren't applogetic at all didn't offer any compensation, even when we showed the booking confirmation. Simply they said they didn't have one available.
Breakfast was first class and lots of it Bottled water in rooms
Dated, old fashioned decor of rooms. No shampoo in bathroom, just a bottle of shower gel.
Friendly and helpful staff. Food was average. Sea view and bridge was very good.
Rather far from the town centre. The sea front pub half-mile away is the nearest call place. The overall atmosphere can be improved somehow, make it a happy hotel to stay in. Everybody seemed very quiet and the guests wispered even to their own children. It needs livening up a bit.
Excellent food, wine and service. Very helpful and courteous staff. A very beautiful setting.
Crumbs in the drawers of the dressing table and a rather uncomfortable bed. A later Sunday breakfast availability after a long and tiring day at a Saturday wedding would have been appreciated. Tennents lager and a wider screen television in the lounge would have been a real bonus.
