Breakfast and location
The room condition on the ceilings and walls looked to have some issues--crumbling and water damage. The room had a slightly musty smell, but overall it was great for the location, price, and family.
Room size was great. Nice to have fridge and microwave.
There was mold in the bathtub. Beds were hard.
First night at check in the front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. She allowed me to check in to the two rooms I booked even though I had put my friends name on the second room, they were coming in later than us.
Second night the desk clerk wasn't so nice or helpful. There was a family who's daughter has braces, she broke a band and needed plyers to fix. The guy wouldn't even let him borrow any, lucky I had a pair.
Very clean and modern
Little far from many of the cities activities
The only draw back was the smaller swimming pool and dining area.
Pool and breakfast, although there was a U12 boys baseball team staying there, so the pool was busy Sat at 5pm.
All the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was awesome.
The air conditioner was a nightmare, it is so close to the bed. During sleeping, felt so cold While it was working.
Really like this one! The staff was super friendly, we noticed the lamp's wiring was messed up, they sent someone right away. The breakfast buffet was actually, shockingly good! The staff kept checking temps, replacing items as needed. Great stay.
Staff was very friendly. Loved the free breakfast that was offered. Very clean. It was worth what we paid.
Pool was a bit small, but other than that the place was great.
Housekeeping came in 3 times while we were sleeping, 2 hours before checkout time. Finally called the front desk and booked another night so they'd leave us alone.
Room was nice and big. They had the air conditioner running so it was cold when we got in it. Already had sheets in the room to make up the sofa bed - didn't have to go back down.
They were remodeling when we were there, didn't mention on the website. Breakfast area setup was a little odd and split between two rooms. No vent in the shower 'room' so all the humidity stayed in the room making it hot.
I had purchased this reservation as a gift for my son and his new wife. you never charged my credit card ahead of time , and the hotel said it was not an option to put it on my card, so they had to pay for it. why did this happen?
walls were 'paper thin' and you can hear everything going on in the next room beside and above, especially bathroom noises.
Visiting Eden Prairie area and found the SpringHill Suites to be centrally located to all the action. Within blocks there must be 10-15 restaurants, the shopping mall, grocery store, and a liquor store. The hotel was very nice and clean. Flat screen tv's, free wireless, pool, exercise room and computer room in the lobby. People were really nice to us and made our trip enjoyable. Free breakfast each morning.....made our own waffles, had some eggs and sausage, cereal, oatmeal, muffins and a bunch of other goodies. We'll definitely be back again.
After reading the other review, we decided to give this hotel a try because of the lower price. First, we had to switch rooms because they placed us directly over the pool and the walls and floors are paper thin. We could hear the conversations of people in the pool area. The guy at the front desk seemed really put out to allow us to make the move. Then, although we had requested a king bed, our new room was tiny with a queen bed, but they charged the same for the larger room. The bed was really uncomfortable and indented in the center. Each time one of us moved, the other would roll into the middle. The air conditioner rattled and the floors weren't that clean, really dusty in the edges and stains on the wall by the sink. When we checked out and a different front desk clerk asked how our stay was, and we told him about all of this, he just said he'd have someone take a look at the air conditioner. The pool did look clean and they offer free breakfast, but there were so many people, we unfortunately couldn't get near either. It should be $* a night.
Very good place to stay. Close to major cities and attractions.Interstate access close by. Front desk staff able to accommodate last second room changes. Breakfast bar kept well stocked and clean. Minor complaints; noisy ceiling fan at high speed, tone of color on tv's too dark, no fan speed on AC unit.
