The most welcoming, friendly and accommodating hotel I've stayed in lately. It is the only Native American owned property in Santa Fe and the ambiance and décor reflects just that. This is my second stay and I'm ready to book next year.

The Hotel Santa Fe bills itself as a luxury hotel...it's prices certainly are!  The room was smaller than I expected (we had a suite) and it was pretty crowded for 3 people.  But worst of all, our room was between the pool and the kitchen...with its extremely noisy dishwasher.  When I complained, they assured me that the noise would stop after 11 pm...but it started back up again early in the morning.  Overall, I was very disappointed in this experience

I really loved the spa-like feel of the place and proximity to the plaza, all the shopping, restaurants, museums, and community activities. The decor - especially the lounge and the pool area have a resort atmosphere and you do feel like you are treating yourself.

I have stayed at other spa resorts. I don't think the Loretto should call itself a "spa" in the title since it doesn't have any sauna, steam room, or similar facilities. When I stay at a spa, I am really looking for those types of facilities. Also, although they were "nice," I didn't feel staff was really game for checking in with guests about their needs. For example, at the pool, there were several groups of guests the day I was enjoying the pool which also happened to be on the weekend of a big fiesta. Guests (including myself) had to go inside to ask for food/bev service and towels were at your own service. If this hotel really wants to be considered a destination for spa travelers, guests shouldn't have to walk into the lounge area in their swimming attire to ask for food/bev service (yes, there is a phone at the pool a guest can use to call the bar for service but it's just as easy at that point to walk 2 more steps into the bar). Food/Bev management, please schedule an extra waitstaff to attend to pool guests on weekends. Thanks! once I did touch base with the bartender, she was very sweet and attentive! oh and also, please offer guests water while they are at the pool especially since many travelers aren't used to the elevation. I enjoyed my stay, thank you.

We found the Eldorado a wonderful place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was very nice. The location is great. Our only suggestion would be to improve the food. We had the dry aged rib eye. It was tough and tasteless. The previous night we ate in the lounge. The burger was good but the steak tacos were dry and tasteless. Five Stars if not for restaurant food quality. So, stay at the Eldorado but eat at the many wonderful restaurants on the square. Tia Sophia and Blue Corn were both excellent.

There are many good hotels in Santa Fe, but we like El Dorado because of the location, the rooms and service.  Besides the great lounge and restaurant at the hotel, there is a pizza/sandwich place right next door if you want a change of pace.  2-3 blocks away is the Plaza which is just fine for us.  If there is a Fiesta going on, we are far enough away to avoid the noise and congestion, but close enough to walk.  The service is top-notch and they do have flavored ice-water in the lobby to fill up on before you wander the town.  We love this place.

Even though we had been warned in advance that the hotel was undergoing renovations, the view when we pulled up to La Fonda was disappointing - the entire facade was covered in plastic wrap! I had no idea what we would find inside... But, what a wonderful surprise - the hotel inside is as lovely as ever, and the rooms are all newly renovated and updated with hand-painted headboards, tile artwork in the showers, and lovely Southwestern furniture. I had only booked a standard queen room, but the one we got was on the top floor, with a 10 foot long private balcony overlooking the Loretto Chapel, and a very comfortable king bed with duvet. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner in La Plazuela, La Fonda's restaurant in a renovated courtyard with a fountain and charming hand-painted glass windowpanes. Because of the ongoing renovations, the pool was closed and some other areas were off limits, but there was no noise or construction interference at all. We were very happy and enjoyed every minu...

This hotel was under renovation so the spa and pool were closed. We wished we would have known this before we booked the trip. However, La Fonda is the perfect location if you are staying in Santa Fe as restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. The food and amenities in this hotel were also very good, I suggest the spinach quiche in the French bakery and the Green Chili Meatloaf in the main dining room! Nancy was a wonderful concierge, we appreciated her smile and upbeat attitude each time we spoke to her! Dennis was also friendly at the front desk and the tall bell hop was very helpful with directions. Our room was one that had not been renovated but it was clean and we had plenty of pillows and a good air conditioner to keep our room just right. I would definitely stay here again.

Location, staff attentiveness, atmosphere, proximity to the Plaza. Staff at all levels, from valet to front desk to spa personel to bartender, were very nice and helpful. The setting was truly an authentic Santa Fe feeling. Swimming pool/spa very nice.

Only glitch was at check-in. Room wasn't ready or cleaned, but we were checked into it anyway. Front desk attendant was very helpful and upgraded our room at no charge. Will definitely stay there again. Grounds are beautiful. Quiet.

The location is terrific, the rooms are a little small but nicely appointed, the beds are comfy, lobby is nice, it's a historic property with a great bar!

There was no coffee maker in the guest room and no morning coffee in the lobby, and no one at the restaurant desk so we had to go out. Not a big deal but a little inconvenient since it was snowing!

The hotel overall is very nice, but the service was truly outstanding! The wait staff, the drivers, the cleaners, the spa help...all exceptional! Kudos to them all! Also, I had excellent water pressure in my shower, which is a big deal for me.

The hotel is quite a ways from Santa Fe, which can be nice, but difficult at the same time. However, they do offer shuttle service to and from Santa Fe, so that makes you feel more connected.

The facilities are very nice, especially the spa and gym. The food at the restaurant was really good, as well as the restaurant/bar servers. The room was great, but the walls did seem to be a little thin. I could even hear conversations happening in the rooms around me. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to a friend and return myself.

The Hilton Buffalo Thunder is a beautiful hotel with an attached casino, restaurants and small stores. We stayed there at the end of August and had a great stay. Then we stayed here in October and had a not so nice stay! This stay started out by them accenting the fact that we had made our reservations through a third party site. The room we were given was not what we had ordered. I went to discuss this with them at the front desk to which they replied you ordered through a third party so we can't refund money and we have nothing available for upgrade. On our first stay we had the most beautiful room, this time we had a regular sized hotel room and because of what they said we ordered through the third party booking site, it cost us an additional $80 more per night! They had a party before we arrived with a big white tent set up and a mess all over the grounds. That was never full cleaned up. The tent was taken down by our second day but cords and trash were still littered all around the nice grassed area. The last night we were there the power went out. It stayed out for almost 2 hours. They gave no explanation of what had happened. No apologies. The rooms were pitch black, no lights whatsoever. The room itself was small but clean. One of it's selling points was the in room fireplace. This was a joke because they had set the gas level already, turned on by a light switch. There was a small blue blame that went out all together after a few minutes. Their way of saving gas I suppose. The air conditioner was also regulated. It was warm in the room but said it was 69, when I tried to turn it down it went no lower than 65. The temp was so off. I would say that when it said 69 that it was really more like 74. Anyway, very annoying when you can get your room cool enough and remember, it wasn't because of the fireplace. It was like having a lit match in there. Put out very little, if any heat! One more thing, they charge for wifi unless you join their club. We had been there 5 days in the last two months. Two separate trips. No one even let us know about their club. I felt like they treated us poorly because we ordered off of Kayak. Their charge for wifi, $9.95 per device, per day! Ridiculous! My family and I really enjoyed this place in August! By the time October rolled around and I took my parents back to have a nice break, it was awful! Mainly in the way we were treated. Wrong room, littered grounds, long power outage, rude front desk attendants. We WAY OVERPAID this last time. $200+ per night for a regular small hotel room that they put a fancy name on, in a casino is overpaying!

The rude front desk attendants. The small room. The littered grounds not cleaned up. Regulators being put on the fireplace and air conditioner so one could barely use them. The wifi that cost $9.95 per device, per day! This place is huge, which is not a bad thing, but if you have trouble walking long distances beware. It's a mini marathon to walk up to your room down to the buffet and then way back over to your room. Wear your tennis shoes.

Staff in ALL areas of hotel, casino and gold course were so helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. We have stayed before and will continue to come back!

Kayak did put in the wrong amount from what I reserved online and I was overcharged. Of course the excellent staff reviewed my confirmation paperwork and adjusted the charge.

Came in for a wedding, nice scenery and location was good.

Rooms are horribly outdated and run down. The shower had tiles coming down and the grout work was all decayed and broken. Carpet and furnishings pretty ratty - and no they were not antiques so they cant blame that

I think that the cost per room was excessive, I realize its Santa Fe and everything is pricey. But there are far better options.
