On the shore of Lake Van and surrounded by rugged mountains, this is an hotel used by mainly by Turks for their holiday or business meetings or Kurdish weddings. There are some adventurous Europeans and coach groups of Americans or Japanese. Generally the hotel tries to be all things to all people and does not quite succeed. Use the Dolmus to go to Van or Akdamar. (just a few Lira) to experience the madness of Turkish roads. The swimming pool is good and clean and towels are provided if you ask and make yourself understood!
The decor would be best described as "tired". There was no information about facilities or meal times anywhere. There is virtually no English spoken. Correct Turkish pronunciation is vital. There are rocks very near the surface of the lake at the end of the jetty. Extreme caution should used when entering the water. It's a major accident just waiting to happen.
price for food and alcohol was rediculous and no one seemed to speak english
