Dawar el Omda

Location Dawar El Omda Boutique Hotel is located in the heart of El Gouna spanning across the saltwater lagoon that separates the island of Kafr El Gouna from the Downtown area of Tamr Henna Square. The hotel extends on both sides of the waterway, which are linked by a stone arch bridge and is built in the style of an old Upper Egyptian mayor s mansion. The property is also adjacent to a myriad of bars, restaurants, shopping arcades, supermarkets, service providers, and entertainment venues. Rooms Accommodations feature a private terrace or balcony with views over the turquoise lagoon, the pool, the hotel gardens, or the cobblestone Kafr El Gouna village road. Each of the rooms is equipped with air-conditioning, flat-screen television with satellite channels, international direct dial telephone, WiFi high-speed internet access (extra charge), minibar (extra charge), tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe, pillow menu, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers and en suite bathroom. Many of these accommodations are accessed through open-air corridors decorated with Oriental lamps that add charm to a walk around the property. Property Features The hotels Main Restaurant offers international buffets with daily changing themes while its private restaurant El Tableya, welcomes two to eight guests by reservation only for an exclusive Oriental evening, including an Egyptian set menu and entertainment (reservation 24 hours in advance is required). The a la carte outdoor Zeytouna Restaurant provides a wide selection of food and beverages directly on the sea beach shared by the Dawar El Omda, Sultan Bey, and Arena Inn Downtown hotels. Guests can also unwind over refreshments at the pool bar or enjoy a mezzeh with Egyptian drinks at the mezzeh Lounge and its little free library. Alternatively, the bar situated in an alcove, serves a selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including soft drinks, juices, beer, wine, aperitifs, spirits, liqueurs, and cocktails. For recreation, the hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool (heated during winter), a small private lagoon beach area equipped with umbrellas and sun beds and hammocks. Billiards, darts and board and card games are also available.
