The complimentary food was bad. The biscuits were hard, eggs were runny, and the juice was watered down.
The hotel was clean, quite, and in a very good location.
The pool was down the first night we were there. The chemical levels were to high and the health department shut it down. The pool was open by the next though. We really enjoyed the hotel. We would definitely stay in another La Quinta again.
Convenient location, accommodating staff, spaEasy to find, right off of I-65, located in an area with other hotels and restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator, microwave, coffeepot. There was a generously large desk. Next door is an Indian restaurant (the front desk said this and the hotel have the same owner). The food was excellent. Presentation and service could be improved, but the food made up for it. Full bar. This made for a convenient and relaxing stop, rather than driving all the way to Louisville.
The hotel is outdated. One old computer in the lobby, could not print out a boarding pass. Breakfast was average at best.
Not much. Two good things are that there are several restaurants a walk away and the bathroom had nice tiles and bath/shower.
It was very noisy the entire night. The guests upstairs were making banging noises through the night (12 am - 3 am) and I did not get a good night sleep as a result. I called front desk eventually but I'm surprised they did not handle proactively.2 1/2 is about right or maybe just 2. -Not many options for breakfast- no scrambled eggs and waffle maker was broken (the one thing that would have been nice) -Carpet in rooms doesn't smell fresh. -Bed sheets are what you expect for 2 1/2 stars. Nothing exceeding expectations there. -Hotel employees were helpful but not enthusiastic. Lasting impression from La Quinta was not good. I'm going to try to avoid hotels in the future below 3 stars and this one is barely hanging onto 2 1/2.
It was very easily accessible from the interstate.
N/AThe hotel was a good value for the location. It was clean and had indoor rooms.
Staff was friendly and location was good for passing through travel.
Could use a little better attention to cosmetic details. Was more or less what we expected for star level but little things are what make the difference. Pool had too many chemicals and door frames in pool area were rusty. Rooms were clean - at least the eye - but things like caulk missing make you wonder what happening behind the wall.
What I didn't like about this hotel is that I paid xxx for a hotel room that was not worth it.
Peggy, at the desk, was very good and helpful. The thing I liked best was the size of the room....... full living room, big bath and nice bed. 2 phones and 2 TVs...... stuff you don't see in many 4 stars.
The breakfast was terrific and we found the breakfast area to be a great spot to spread out and enjoy our delivery dinner.
We were upset to discover the pool was drained when we arrived. That information was not given to us when I confirmed reservations or at check in. Thankfully when we brought the issue to the attention of the front desk they THEN sent us next door to swim.
