Pros:The room the next day.
Cons:Arrived at the hotel on time at 2 am and learned they had given our room away. The plan was to spend time with family at the hotel before my sisters funeral the next day. We were told, that if a card holder...regular customer needs a room the hotel will bump someone who was reservations. And there were no rooms in the area. They wanted to put us in a hotel 10 minites away (really 20), it was a good thing we didn't do that because due to work on the freeway people coming to the funeral from that direction were an hour late. We ended up waking up my grieving parents at 2:30 AM and sleeping on the floor at their house. They did comp one night the next day, so what! I didnt want a free room, I wanted a room. When my wife asked, " if had we not shown up would we have been charged for our room?" the woman behind the desk turned red and would not answer.
