We loved all the different options and activities on sites
we loved everythingwe will definitely come back and stay longer
Ocean view from the room was beautiful, outside porch area incl 2 chairs and sm table-very nice. Lots to do if the weather is nice. On property shopping, golf, mini-golf, cycling, swimming. Nearby attractions incl 2 state parks, historic fort & more
The hotel is very large and our room was the 2nd farthest room from the lobby. It was quite a hike getting to everything -- parking garage; outdoor beach access; lobby; restaurants. That said, there were many things to do on the large property. The weather was exceptionally bad while we were there. Rained for 24 hours then turned windy/cold. That's not the hotel's fault. Even in bad weather we loved spending time in nearby historic Fernandina Beach (city), bundling up for brisk beach walk and relaxing in the warmth of the public sitting areas. Was too cold for bike rentals but there were paved paths all over the property that would be enjoyable to explore in warmer weather. The golf also courses appeare...
The poblic spaces are perfect.
Wish the room had living space.
Nice location and building was nice.
Numerous. I've never given a hotel a bad rating until now.We were asked to pay for lunch before the order would be sent to kitchen, I have never encountered that in my life. They said it was their policy. When I arrived at the room two miles away in a detached building on the property the key did not work and had to reload the luggage and return to desk. When I arrived in the room the TV did not work. The next morning the power was out for hours. I was lied to about credit card only being taken for incidental charges. Almost $90 in charges appeared in mandatory resort fees which was not disclosed upon check in. Then they incorrectly billed my card two $200 charges which tied up a $400 balance on my card for days. I had to fight with the hotel and my credit card company while on vacation to get these charges removed that were a mistake and never received an apology from the hotel. I'd stay away from this...
Hotel is conveniently located on Amelia Island. Near shopping, awesome and beautiful beaches, and historic places.
The location & the view.
NoGreat room, great bed, excellent view. Gods food at restaurant. We were to have been at the Villas but received an upgrade when we checked in. The Omni & their staff is definitely first class! So this review is of the Omni not The Villas.
The location was nice.
The villa wasn't clean and contained many bugs. I was expecting much more than what we received for this to have been considered 4 stars. When we arrived to our villa, there were bags of linens, sheets on top of the bed and 4 pillows on the floor. We moved all of these to the closet since the beds were made, we assumed this was extra bedding. Later, housekeeping just walked into our room while we were sleeping, left and then came back in to retrieve these linens as they were supposed to have already changed out the bedding they said. The bathroom floor was covered in long dark hair. It was all over the floor and the bathtub. There were also 2 of the largest silverfish I had ever seen in alive in the bathroom. Needless to say, I wouldn't enter the bathroom without shoes on my feed and was overall concerned about the cleanliness. Then we golfed the next day on the property. My boyfriend tipped the caddy to clean his cl...
GREAT LOCATION & FANTSTIC AMENITIES. WOILD DEFINITELY RETURN. Richard
liked the fact that it was separate from the main bldg. and somewhat more private. Ideal specially when traveling with little ones.
This Villas are in the same location as the Omni resort but they are not on the ocean. That we missed! Also, the microwave and refrigerator were inside the bathroom which was very inconvenient and a couple of our pillow cases were dirty. The Villas of Amelia island is a nice family friendly place to stay, separated from the main resort gives a bit more privacy and has very spacious rooms with in-room microwave and refrigerator. If you like to be on the water this is not the best place to be though - the beach is about 1/2 mile away. The staff was helpful and nice.
