Pros:Good comfortable room
Cons:Breakfast could have been better for the quality of the hotel. It was a basic continental fitting for a travel motel. I’d have preferred something a little nicer for a Hilton. Cereal, waffles, toast. I’ve had the same quality at a roadside motel. But it did the job.
Pros:Breakfast was free, basic but good, and an added bonus since this hotel is priced much lower than anything you can find in the area. It was a continental with make-it-yourself waffles, yogurt, bread items, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and a free microwave sandwich items. One day there was grits and one day there was country gravy as a “hot” item. The room was spacious and I liked that there was a counter the entire length of the room. There was a fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, ironing nods, hairdryer, and shampoo and body wash dispensers in the bathroom. There was no conditioner so make sure you bring your own. It was brand new and very modern and nice looking. The beds were decent. I always check for bed bugs and there was none and the mattresses were brand new. There was a mattress cover. Nice large TV and store away table.
Cons:When we got there our beds were not fully made. There were sheets and pillows nice and tucked like they started but didn’t finish. There was no toilet paper. I went to the front and there was only one person working in the entire hotel. She called the manager and then she came and finished making up the room within 15 minutes. She said they had just opened and we’re still trying to hire and weed out the good employees. She apologized and was very nice. I heard another lady saying they had an issue with the housekeeping as well, but the girl at the front desk apologized and handled it just like ours. The hallway had not been vacuumed in what appeared several days when we checked in; however, it was done on the second day we were there. I feel like the manager probably said something to the housekeepers after the complaints. A guy came and worked on our key card lock in the door for about 10 minutes on the first day we checked in. He was going down the hall working on all the locks and there was a lady at the front desk with the lock company working on the computer. I feel like all of these things are due to it being brand new and they are still trying to get things together. They need to get a handle on the housepeekers or else the hotel will go south pretty fast, but right now it’s still brand new and it seems the management is trying. Our sink in the bathroom was just a trickle. The kitchenette sink and tub water pressure were fine but we had to brush our teeth in the kitchenette sink.
