Motel 6 Gatlinburg is along the banks of Little Pigeon River, and the Smoky Mountains! We are only 3 blocks from downtown Parkway. Amenities include an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi. Select rooms have Jacuzzi tubs or fire places. Suites also available.
We only had a very short stay when arriving we had a good ways to walk to the room with luggage opened the door and the smell of mold was so bad I started choking. When I told the clerk she was like ok, so she didn't care anyway.
Not enough to stay again.
Location was great. Quiet area.
Pillows on the bed are very small. Bathroom could use a good bleaching to get rid of some mildew
This hotel is the right around the corner from the entrance to the park, so it is a great option for those who plan to do some hiking. It is very affordable and provides all necessities.
The staff was friendly, room was clean and well kept. Would have been nice to have breakfast but there are a lot of places nearby to eat. Overall a good value for the money.
Parking was tight, no assigned spaces.
Right by the main strip, but it is Gatlinburg. Small town, so everything is in walking distance.
There was no alarm clock, my room smelled like body odor. The shower was built for kids under 12. There was only soap, no shampoo. They offer free wifi, but it was down a lot and when it was up, it would constantly boot me. Would not stay here again.
Love the listening to the creek when I open the door.
The internet did not work in our room.
The bed was comfortable; but it was supposed to be a king-size, yet it was shorter than my full-size bed at home. The hot tub was nice.
The desk attendant never smiled, until I was just about to walk out the door. Wasn't welcoming at all. When I got there, there was only one "housekeeper" on duty. Had to wait for someone else to check out before I could go to my room; and when the crappy desk attendant suggested going somewhere and coming back later, I had to tell her TWICE that I couldn't just walk off and leave my luggage because I had taken public transportation to get there and the van had already left. When my room was "ready," there was pubic hair in the tub and on the dirty toilet tank. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny; the caulking was super messy and looked like a five-year-old had done it; and the faucet wasn't working, so I had to let the shower run for an eternity to in order to fill up the tub--AFTER I had to clean it myself! The tables down by the pool were dirty and the paint was half chipped off. The paint job in and around the pool was very badly chipped and made the place look like crap (and did not make the place look professional or inspire me to come back). When I saw the horribly filthy lounge chairs, my immediate thought was, "You're kidding me. You actually expect me to sit on THAT?!" The actual facility looked NOTHING like the really nice pictures and it did not live up to the reviews. I chose this place because of those things and because I got a decent price. Next time I go on a writing retreat, I'll spend more money to go someplace nicer.
Clerk at front desk was very friendly and suggested some good restraunts in the area. Room was nice, and clean.
No hot water for shower in the morning. Very cramped bathroom. Problems with the TV and microwave.
There was no hot water. The desk clerk was very rude when I let him know about it. I had reserved a smoking room- which was not available when I checked in.
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. The room was clean spacious and up to date.
No elevator have a bit of trouble with stairs but we'll worth it
Nothing! This was the worst motel management I have ever seen. Understaffed, dirty rooms, and above all, non-caring owners.
Had to wait 2 hours after check-in time for them to get our room clean. Asked to speak with the owners who were on site and they did not come to speak with me. The 2 days we stayed we were not contacted by the owners about our problem. I will not use Kayak or any other service who lists this motel.
