The important things worked - the climate control was on point (a rarity in hotels), the bed was comfortable, the location was great for us, the fridge worked and the WiFi had no problems. There were some small minor things - hair in the tub, the sink leaked around the handles, there was a light out, and the TV channels in no way matched the guide they gave us. But overall a decent stay. You're there for the Grand Canyon, but we were there in December, in a snowstorm, so we spent more time indoors than most people probably do.
The hotel is nice and clean .
The breakfast is not free also there was only one small shampoo, one small conditioner and one little soap in the room. No iron or blow dryer or anything else. Not enough towels
The room size was quite spacious which meant that family members were not on top of each other. Greatly appreciated!
Staff were amazing. The room were very clean and well maintained.
Heating system is old and does not keep the temperature steady
excellent value, location, and amenities.
water pressure from the sink and shower was too low.
We loved the comfort of the hotel. The beds were the most comfortable we encountered on a 2-week road trip staying in a different hotel every night. The complimentary breakfast was the most extensive buffet that included a hot omelet station in a long line of free breakfasts. We were impressed with the upgrades Best Western has made to its brand and will definitely consider them again in our travels.
The only disappointment in our otherwise positive stay experience was the restaurant. We arrived later in the evening and did not want a big, heavy meal as was served at the upstairs restaurant. We asked for an alternative on site and ended up in the downstairs "sports bar". Food selection was minimal at best, and the area was seriously understaffed. Tables remained unbussed as folks left and it took too long to order. Atmosphere reminded me of the basement arcades in the casinos that are added as an afterthought (there was an arcade across the hall). It would have been nice for a hotel this size to have a mid-range alternative for food.
Overall - it was fine, but at check-in, we were told nothing about the amenities. Like the bowling alley, etc
Check in and check out couldn't have gone faster, room was big and clean, free wifi worked great, great location right outside the park.
Nothing, everything about this hotel was great.
Very interesting interior design. Many activities
Location can't be beat
Expensive for overall quality.
Ice machine not working
It smelled urine in Room 2130
Location. Staff were friendly outside seating was nice to have
Also, no place to sit outside. We had nice weather and would have loved a drink\snack outside. the weight room is way too small and smells. It would have been nice to have a pool since we were in Arizona.
Requires us to print off hotel confirmation which was an extra step at check in that probably isn't necessary if they re-work their process. Food options were also terrible. Service wasn't great either. Great location though.
