Welcome to the Holiday Inn Chicago North / Gurnee we are located near the Great Lakes Naval Training Center. Anyone coming to do business with Abbott Labs and Abbvie will find our location is the perfect spot to stay. For those looking to host a meeting our Grand Ballroom has 10,000 square feet of flexabile meeting space. We are conveniently located near the Genesee Theater, Lambs Farm, Lake County Forest Preserves, and Waukegan Field House. Our accommodations also offer free WiFi, parking, and use of our business center. You can lounge by our indoor heated pool or keep up with your exercise routine in our fitness center. All Suites are equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerator, Keurig, and a 43' flat screen TV. We have 15 suites with hide a bed sofas in each.

Pros:Stayed here for a night for the Bristol Renaissance Fair Great location- by restaurants, the expressway and the outlet mall Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff and of course a free breakfast buffet!

Pros:Great staff! Bartender was amazing. Front desk was friendly. I'll be back.
Cons:Tacos were average. Breakfast was terrible. Pancakes were under cooked. Eggs were soggy.
Pros:The staff at the front desk was very kind. There was a younger girl who didn't seem like she knew very much of what she was doing but there was another girl, Rose I think, who was very knowledgable and accommodating.
Cons:When I got to the hotel, there was kids running and screaming in the lobby. It was very loud and parents were just letting their kids run around as they please. Two almost hit me, but being so close to Six Flags, it is understandable that this is more of a family location. I checked in and they sent me to my room, when I got there, neither of my key cards worked. I put my bags down and tried again, figuring I may have tried too quickly. As I was trying again, I heard someone cough in the room. Went back downstairs to the lobby and the front desk called the room, only to find they had a mix up and someone was in the room...thank god my key card did not work and I didn't walk in on someone! They gave me a new room and once again my key card didn't work (their system for assigning cards was not working well). Had to have maintenance follow me up to my room so he could check the problem. We finally got in my room with his key, only to find out it was a double bed room when I requested a king bed, so once again...had to go back down to the lobby. Upon my return, Rose was very apologetic and said she was very embarrassed. She upgraded my room, gave me two drink cards for the hotel restaurant as well as a dinner card. She definitely made the situation much better and she handled it professionally. It was quite a long and irritating situation but Rose handled it well and made the necessary steps to make it better.
Cons:The only hotel I've stayed that doesn't have a safe in the room or a refrigerator and I've stayed at many over the years.

Pros:I will put it this way, it was a lot better than my stay at the Hard Rock hotel in Chicago! I will definatly be staying there again in the future.
Pros:Great breakfast. Staff kind and engaging. Comfortable bed.
Cons:Many loud young people, late into the nights. Not okay for business travelers with appointments the next day.
Pros:The location was great. The staff was excellent. Our room was clean. The staff was very friendly taking you to and picking you up from Six Flags.
Cons:The walls were too thin....could hear all of the bathrooms nearby. The breakfast was included in our price but it would have been too expensive otherwise. The rates were too high overall.....I guess you are paying for the location.
