My stay at Best Western Plus Westbank was average. It was only after I checked out that things got bad. The morning of my checkout, I told the front desk that I would need to check out an hour late, at noon. I have never had a problem with an hour late check out at a hotel before, and I was out by noon as I said I would be. Days later I noticed an unusual charge on my credit card. I called to find out what the charge was. Nancy at the front desk, who was extremely rude, told me that I was charged a half day's room rate because housekeeping claimed that I had stayed in the room until 2pm. I told her that I had left by 12, as promised, and she unbelievably accused me of lying. She claimed that housekeeping had been watching the room and that I was there until 2. Nothing that I said changed her mind. She checked with the general manager of the hotel, "Miss Stephanie," and the additional charge was going to stand. Unfortunately for Nancy, Stephanie, and the hotel, I had an Uber receipt showing that I was picked up from the hotel at noon and dropped off at the airport 40 minutes later. Only after I sent the Uber receipt to the hotel did they finally agree to remove the charge. If I had driven myself to the airport, or had a friend drive me, I would have been wrongfully and dishonestly charged an additional half day's room rate for an hour late checkout that I informed hotel staff about. Absolutely unbelievable. The staff at the Best Western Plus Westbank was the rudest and most unpleasant hotel staff that I have ever dealt with, and I fully intend to lodge a complaint with the Best Western corporate office against the employees that I had the displeasure of dealing with. Spend your money elsewhere.
Location and size Not sure where to start, room assigned was completely covered in mold and we were told no other rooms were available by Nancy, she went ahead and simply sprayed air freshener and turned A/C all the way down to 60 to make it cold so that the smell is not apparent. Couldn't stay in the room for more than 10 mins had to walk down and speak with another person to change the room. New room was better but towels were completely beat up and torn. Next day heard another person at the front desk complain about the place how it was poorly managed, unorganized, nobody knows how and why things are assigned and how bad the rooms are. Lastly breakfast was managed by two ladies and instead of having open/buffet style you were limited to whatever was served to you and if you ask for additions you would get the looks. Will never ever stay here ever again!
The hotel is beautiful! Rooms are comfortable size and clean. Great towels!! We stayed on the first floor and was steps away from pool. Doesnt even feel like a typical hotel, great getaway spot. Did not expect it to be that gorgeous!! No complaints! Family loved it!

Very close to French Quarter / museums. Only took 15 mins. But the neighborhood is VERY run down. The staff was inept. We reserved a king bed and were initially placed w/ 2 full. Maid service was the worst I have ever seen in years. - Day one did not bring coffee/cups or clean towns (came up at 7pm when we returned). - Day two maid skipped us -- no towels, bed unmade, dirty towels on floor still, porcelain not scrubbed, no coffee/cups. - Day three in the afternoon we telephoned to remind them to bring towels -- they picked up dirty towels but did not bring fresh. We returned after housekeeping had left, so the office said they would not bring us new towels -- we had to go to office to get fresh. The room itself was barely acceptable, even for a modest motel chain like Motel 6 -- which are about half the price of this room. Smoke alarm torn out, very shabby blankets, door terribly banged up, pool was closed. As a side benefit we witnessed a drug deal (exchange money for packet) in this very downscale neighborhood. I wouldn't stay here again on a bet.
It was fairly close to the French Quarter which is why we booked it and the pool looked clean so I wished I had brought a swimsuit. The breakfast was okay, better than EconoLodge anyway. Internet was good. I couldn't go barefoot in our room because the floor was sticky, there was no trashcan in our room so we used the ice bucket and even though housekeeping did come and change the towels once this wasn't emptied. The pillows were completely flat, the light didn't turn on with the light switch and the only way to turn off the bedside lights was to unplug them because the button was broken off. There was mold at the bottom of the shower curtain and the bathroom light was so dim I was scared to close the door so I showered with the door open.
That there was a better hotel not to far from this one Everything, one room didn't blankets on the bed and another had blood in the toilet.......filthy
The room was spacious. Everything was old and the walls were dirty. Some large growth was on the window. Rust on towel racks. Toilet splashed water when flushed. Stain inside tub. Hard to find working channels on tv.
The location was great and if all you're looking for is a bed to crash on, that's an Uber Ride away from New Orleans; then this place is great! Most of the staff was friendly, but a few seemed like they were having a bad day. To be fair, there are some issues as well. The toilet and the shower both had leaks that ran all day and night. The walls are very thin, so you could hear every drop, as well as whatever was happening in any of the 5 surrounding rooms. The second morning after we received new towels they all smelled of cigarettes. The bed itself was decently comfortable, but the pillows were small and thin. It was almost as if there should have been four of them instead of the three that were there. I'm not sure the chair or the sofa in the room were actually meant to be sat in because the cushions are hard and thin, and the couch sank quite a bit. I also requested a second blanket for my wife, and they told me to come pick it up at the front desk. I'm no stranger to cheap hotels, but this was the first time a staff member didn't bring it to my room.
Staff was friendly, hotel is located near everything we needed and a short ride to New Orleans. Rooms were okay Bathrooms were really small, the door hit the toilet to open and close. The pool didn't look clean enough to swim, the hot tub wasn't hot at all, not even warm. There were puddles of water and dirt all over the walkways
Nothing The room was filthy. The bedspread had numerous cigaret burn holes, the bathtub had a scum ring and the continental breakfast was a joke. Dry cereal ....that was all! Horrible experience
I forget the name of the receptionist when we checked in but she was very helpful trying to find us a clean room. I didn't like that we requested a non smoking room and it took changing room 5 times to find one without cigarette burns all over the bed and toilet seat.

There were nothing to like First of all the front dest has no customer service skills. You don't have an elevator so if you have a lot of bags and you are upstairs you have a lot of up and down. When we got there after traveling all day. The key didn't work for the room. We had to go downstairs and instead of them coming up and fixing the problem they changed to keep and said if it don't work come back and let us know. Well it didn't work so we had to go find someone her key didn't work so we had to wait until she found the other employee. In the end they had to put us in a new room. The towels was used room smelled like mold and no toilet paper. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy

I had a great experience at the Crowne Plaza New Orleans Airport. I was looking for a clean room and hotel at a reasonable price for one night. I chose this hotel, which is very close to the airport, and it was much nicer than I expected. The staff was friendly and the room was really nice and clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Staff is extremely helpful. It is a 20 cab ride from downtown, the cab drivers use a flat rate. For some reason returning from the city to the hotel is btwn 11 and 15 bucks (metered). . It may still be more cost-effective (haven't done the math) compared to staying downtown, but I missed the ease of not having a commute. Not many things to see, hotel isnt in a good part of the city, so can't really venture outside. Would recommend if you just need a place to rest your head while exploring new orleans. Tip: hotel is in jefferson parish, getna, louisiana. cabs need to know this even from the airport. The airport shuttle doesn't go there as well.

Minutes from stores restaurants etc. On the main road in harvey La but on a private street away from traffic. 15 min from the French quarter/ river walk in new orleans. Full complimentary breakfast. Elevator made a load clicking sound. NO other complaints... Great place to stay

The very friendly staff, the newness and cleanliness of the lobby, breakfast area and rooms, the breakfast that was loaded with hot options and the decor for the Mardi Gras holiday when we visited. It was a little hard to figure out how to get across the street to it, but once you do- its a cinch. No real issues- it was great!

Absolutely clean! Everything looks like brand new. Very courteous and efficient staff.
The location to the airport, cleanliness of the room I had to wait 30 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to finally come and pick me up to drive me to the hotel. I had to call three times and never got an explanation as to why the shuttle was running so late. Other hotels had already ran two to three shuttles before the La Quinta shuttle arrived. The elevator in this building is very old, very small, and very slow moving. If there is one thing in this building that shows its true age it's the elevator which is something out of the 1970s. Everything else is up to date but having a room on the top floor was such a hassle when waiting for the elevator took so long and then getting the elevator to the bottom (or top) floor took just as long. Also it's very tiny and cramped so sometimes you had to wait for two elevators to finally get on because of people with their luggage.
My room was clean and cool with 2 double beds, fridge and microwave. Shower worked fine. Money lost in vending machine promptly refunded. Handy airport shuttle and restaurant next door. The staff are outstanding. I had a great stay Jets got a little loud, but what did I expect? The gate for the rear parking lot wouldn't work.
The lock was broken on the inside and outside of the door, the patrons were loud until 3 in the morning, sirens were continually going off, the toilet paper ran out, the bathroom was dirty and this was not cheap!
Had to use room key to park in rear of property which is building I was housed. I-Hop located on premises. Room seemed not clean, drapes had mildew stains, I wiped down the room with Clorox disinfecting wipes, door lock seemed to have paint overspray but door was not freshly painted. Towels very thin stayed wet after one hand drying. Clothes rack needs to be replaced rusty and room had not been dusted in some time. Would not have wanted to stay if spouse and kids were with me.

was stuck in a smoking room. staff did all they could to make me comfortable, but the smell combined with lots of noise (sirens, boat horns, etc.) made sleeping very difficult. Would probably just sleep in the airport instead next time.

Not a damn thing. I'll make bullet points for this to be easily read. •My room smelled disgusting. •The ac didn't have a fan setting and I need sound to help me fall asleep so it would turn on and off, on and off, over and over again and you'd be stuck with dead silence or a loud rumbling ac that made a loud thud sound every time it turned on and off. •The shower head was so low I had to bend down to actually shower.. ridiculous. •The desk clerks were under the impression I had a second guest with me because I asked for two card keys. I ask for two card keys for my wallet and vehicle because sometimes stuff is misplaced and I like to take extra precautions. So they waited for me to leave my room and watched me as I left and checked out like if I was literally trying to hide someone! It was kind of hilarious to see them waste there time on petty BS like that rather than maybe get someone to replace the carpet in the rooms to rid them of the disgusting rotten musty odor or perhaps remodel there damn bathrooms to remount the shower heads. I am just baffled at how this hotel is about $100 a night and be so disgusting. It's worse than most motel 6!
Nothing It was filthy. We checked in late at night with 2 small children. I searched all night for a different room, but couldn't find anything. Finally, the next day I was able to book a room in the Quarter for an outrageous price. That should indicate how bad it was.
Short ride to the city, cab was never more than 14.00 A little old, not the cleanest, but it was great for us, we came for the city, not to have a great hotel experience.
Hotel staff was friendly and the hotel is conveniently located close to the mall and highway for quick access. Room was not that clean. Additionally this "hotel" has exterior facing entrances so it is really a motel. And it looks like one.
Close to airport I called Red Roof Inn before booking to ask about their shuttle to the airport (our flight had been canceled 3 times so I wanted to make sure there were no issues getting to the airport in the morning). I was told they had shuttles every hour on the hour so with that information I booked the room. Once I got there I just happened to see a sign in sheet for the shuttle and it didn't start running until 5am. Our flight was at 6:15am so I was planning on taking the 4am shuttle. I would not have booked the hotel if I had known about the shuttle, that's why I called ahead of time and feel like I was mislead. We ended up having to get a taxi to the airport. Room did not smell good.
Our room was exactly as we wanted and the staff were active every minute to see that everything was in order. The Reception/Breakfast areas had recently been painted(no smell but nice and clean) and there were very nice plants around the place. The manager was over- board with service. All in all a great place. We spent 4 days in all!

The beds were comfortable and the selection on television was good. How loud the noise was outside from the hotel. How rude the manager on duty was she was very arrogant and self absorbed to not even be able to greet us when walking in and had to stand there and wait for the front desk lady to check us in although there were several people behind the desk. The elevator was rather terrifying. &The "gym" had three cardio machine which two of them were broken. &The bathroom was very oddly laid out and very uncomfortable. Also, the housekeeping should really knock before they just enter a room, very disturbing that at 5pm there's housekeeping just walking into our room while we were in there
Great staff, great bar and restaurant. Clean room and very comfortable bed, lots of amenities except for the WiFi. Had to pay for the WiFi. In this day and age that is ridiculous especially considering the cost per night. Also when in the bathroom you could easily hear the guests in the next room.

This hotel is well located for those seeking close proximity to MSY. We had a 7 o'clock flight and the hotel shuttle took 5 minutes to get us to the airport departures for check in. The hotel is good quality, reliably Hilton. The lighting in the lobby was cold harsh white fluorescent. Felt more like a Walmart. Please warm it up!
I always stay at this hotel when I have an early morning flight the next day. The check in staff are always very nice, as is the shuttle driver to the airport across the street. The hotel is getting a little worn, but they are working on renovations... Time to refresh the rooms!

good size room the shower curtain was too short and the bathroom floor was soaked after every shower. there appeared to be a homeless guy standing right outside the front door chain smoking. we had to breath the smoke ever time we walked through. he was there for several hours the late evening
Location was good in relation to French quater but only if you have a car. All food and shopping close by and expensive restaurant across the street.breakfast was ok nothing special but enough . The wall are to thin and I mean thin . We were there for 4 nights and 2 nights we had a person next to us that had the tv on all night and we could hear it all night. And 2 nights the they would have sex and the girl was so loud I could hear everything.. I can't belive in this day and age they can't soundproof walls. So it's a crap shoot who is in the next room if they are quite you should be fine if not good luck

The rate was good. The room was basic but adequate. The property was reasonably well kept. Both the maintenance and the cleaning staff would do well to pay more attention to details. The tub drained very slowly in my room. Parking is INADEQUATE.

My mom & I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express June 30th to July 2nd for the Essence Fest. The hotel was very clean. Check in was smooth. Hot breakfast was good. The location was perfect. We were 20 mins away from everything & the I-10 freeway is very close & takes you everywhere. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Louisiana. No complaints.

It is well located. It wasn't clean. The elevators were full of trash. The employees in the reception were not kind. The worst part was the bathroom inside the room. The faucet wasn't working. The shower pressure was a mess.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to friends. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. We had arrived way before check in time after being on a cruise. We were offered a secure place to store our luggage, they made sure our rooms were the first ones cleaned. We certainly appreciated that more than anyone knows. Drinks and snacks were offered too. This is by far one of the most accommodating hotels we have ever stayed at......kudos to the staff everything was perfect and we had a great day relaxing.....
It was close to the NO air port , ( between 5 & 10 min) but not too close that you get the noise or the higher price of being right at the air port. I would stay there again. Pillows were too small and there isn't much around in walking distance .
