Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Great selection of breakfast foods. Pool was a nice bonus.
Needed a couple more waffle makers. Long waits for them.
Clean, hot breakfast, nice pool and friendly staff
bathroom could use a fan/vent (got steamy)- room 330
They had an excellent breakfast..the staff was frienfly
Liked that it was un-eventful. Everything went as expected. Nice pool.
Sort of a cranky swing shift women at the front desk. Don't like low toilets. Public spaces were a little cramped.
Bar none, the BEST breakfasts we have ever experienced at a hotel! Would return for them!
Room was terribly small!! Only enough space to have a walk around the bed. We were there 3 nights - very cramped. Only chair was a desk chair and a large foot stool.
Close to freeway access. Not too far from downtown Hendersonville. Easy access to Asheville.
Cleanliness felt a little below average. The breakfast was below standard. If Hampton Inn has changed its offering across the chain to the microwave egg, sausage, etc sandwiches for breakfast, I'll never stay there again. Deplorable!
The staff was nice enough to let me check in 30 minutes early, but that's about the only plus I can list. The air conditioner in the room was louder than the clothes washer at home. The TV required being turned on and off a few times before it was able to connect to the cable service, and then the picture on it was so dim that it literally wasn't watchable. The remote offered no way to adjust the picture nor did the few buttons on the side of the unit. The door card lock took 8-12 tries EACH TIME to get the door to open, which made getting into the room when juggling bags really fun. It simply just didn't register. The winning unlock was performed the same as the losing unlocks. I also paid for a room with a queen bed and got a full instead. I definitely won't be staying here again. There's zero point in paying Hampton Inn prices to get a run-down / budget quality of stay. I understand that you don't go to a hotel to watch TV, but I wanted to catch the second half of a playoff game while I was on vacation - sue me!
The carpet had not been vacuumed on the far side of the room. There were pieces of some kind of orange candy and other things on the floor. Very obvious to see so I think they forgot that side of the room. Otherwise everything else was great.
Very nice hotel. Indoor pool was a nice feature (although it was not heated).
We stayed at this hotel last September (2009) and were very happy with proximity to apple orchard country. The drive over the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock wasn't bad either. I found the room to be very classy--better than many higher-end hotels. Of particular note was the wooden built-in desk piece set into the wall. We had a minor issue with an electric-powered item in the room and the staff deeply discounted our stay--even when I insisted that I was wiling to pay more than the discounted rate! Highly recommended.
My wife and two kids stayed overnight for an Apple Picking trip. It is a very reliable choice. The hotel was very well appointed and the breakfast was great.
We stayed at this Hampton Inn on our way to South Carolina for spring break. The price was a little high, but the hotel was very nice. The room and beds were very clean and up to date. The breakfast was nice and had many choices. There were pancakes, french toast and breakfast quesadillas (they are all froxen and microwaveable) Woman working at the breakfast was cheerful, and helpful. All the staff we encountered were very good. Our kids used the indoor pool and really enjoyed it. The website still says outdoor pool, but it has been converted to an indoor pool. They also had cookies at checkin in the lobby, which the kids loved. We would stay again.
