Cons:Originally given a faulty car - showing a fault light for the park brake - that had to be returned the following morning (a 120km round trip) with no compensation or apology. Then I was charged AUD$160 for returning the car missing 1/3 of the petrol tank (it was missing 20% when I picked it up ... which was also not noted until I pointed it out). Re the petrol, there was no choice - not a single petrol station open in the vicinity - and their office closed. I was happy to pay an inflated price, but this is AT LEAST six times the cost of petrol. They were rude and arrogant throughout. Would not hire again.

Hi I have to complained about my booking with Kayak ( Confirmation # K478380426) I booked a mini car gas fired with automatic transmission, but Hertz said that they will give me an electric car but this was no option for me, since I was staying in a small village without any charging capability, but HETZ said that I have to deal with KAYAK since my booking was with you. My quoted price was 502.36 Euro, but to get a gas car I had to pay extra 160 Euro, for a total of 664 Euro, so i am looking for a refund from KAYAK of a 160 Euro I paid to HERTZ since they did not honor your booking. Please let me know about the refund Alexander Safronsky

Pros:I requested a six passenger minivan and was provided with a Renault Scenic. Strictly speaking it was a six passenger vehicle.The car was spacious and comfortable for four, but with six adults in, thre was no room left for any luggage. The diesel engine was great - lots of pull and very good on gas. The service at both pickup and drop off locations we very good.
Cons:No space for luggage when six passengers were in the car.

Cons:I got a flat tire on the highway 15 min after picking up the car and none of the hertz assistance numbers would allow me to speak with a human. It took friends of mine calling in their native language to light a fire to actually send help. Hertz is happy to charge me for that though.
