Location was great. Shuttle was great back and forth to MD Anderson. Considering what it cost to park it was a nice saving.
Not much of a breakfast.
Very quite, loved the area.
When I initially called I asked the reservation clerk, if the sofa bed was in a separate room because the other person going with me snors very loud and I was told the sofa bed WAS IN A SEPARATE ROOM and it was not.
Very nice hotel. Staff was nice. Check in was easy, no hassles. I completely recommend this hotel. They are worth regular rate.
Had no extra pillow had to use use couch cushions very uncomfortable had to change hotels next day
Rooms in good condition and new. Non smoking hotel- great!
I was only there for one night so no complaints.
close to where we needed to go. shuttle was extremely valuable. good coffee. front desk was helpful. we got our money's worth.
the coverlet on the bed was to slippery. woke with cover on floor.
Staff never at desk. Did not answer phone. No coffe available at 7:00 am on Friday morning. No creamer or milk available when coffee was available. Attitude from staff about it. Very loud AC unit.
Clerk was very friendly and rooms clean and nice
Need a better breakfast
For a Non Smoking room it had a strong cigarette smell. My kitchen was dirty had broken appliances. Do not expect good customer service, they were useless. They only had one person up front. Beds are like sleeping on the floor
Our experience at this hotel was nice.
The telephone in our room was inoperable. It had no dial tone and when we told the front desk nothing was done. A housekeeper came and did the same the thing we did. Nothing else was done to fix the problem. We were worried if there was an emergency.
When I got there the lady behind the counter said there was no rooms available. we sat there for 30 min until she said ok I found it.
Clean updated rooms. Breakfast buffet was included which wasn't bad. Neighborhood isn't the greatest but I felt safe. Shuttles to MD Anderson was helpful and on time. I would stay here again.
Grace, the Front Desk Rep realized our reservation DID NOT EXIST for some reason. She IMMEDIATELY ameliorated the problem and gave us an upgrade for the error. All this WITHOUT OUR ASKING. Additionally, she was both informative and pleasant.
Room design was spacious and comfortable.
No shampoo in the bathroom or any amenities other than a bar of soap. No one in the lobby to assist with any issues at 7 AM even though that is the time they are supposed to open.
Desk clerk were not as knowledgable as you would like
Location, location, location. I love that this hotel is kinda secluded, even though it is right in the middle of the med center, it is quiet and it feels out of the way of the traffic of the medical center. I miss the weeping willows in the back.
For $$$ a night i would have at least expected a garbage can in the room. Very sad, I've had good experiences here before, but this time I felt I was overcharged and the room was not worth the charge, heck I bet even rooms who rent by the hour are better.
Yes, I needed a room with two beds for I travel with my daughter and that could not be accomodated at this hotel. I had to sleep on the pull out chair which was not comfortable at all. Had to ask for linens for chair, no washcloths in room upon arrival.
It is walking distance from MDAnderson
Most uncomfortable, unclean bed. If you HAVE to stay here, bring your own mattress pad and bedding.
It was very close to MD Anderson and they had shuddle services.
No one cleaned the room the time we were there. Had ants in my Dad's room plus found black hair in the bed, he is grey headed. wasn't aware we had to take our dirty towels and sheets down to get clean ones.
Dirty. Stains everywhere on rug. NO cover on mattress. Ant traps everywhere???
Proximity to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Staff somewhat helpful, FAR more helpful than Priceline on the reservation problem). Priceline FAILED to live up to its guarantee on reservations!! Over 2 hours and I had to use cc to secure room, PL says that was them resolving it. NOT!!
Deshonda who checked us in was probably the highlight
More than one thing - it was bad; not a 2 star in any way shape or form. This is a one star hotel at best. The hallway smelled like stale cigarettes, the room was cramped, the desk chairs looked like something out of a science experiment with the spills
It was close to where I needed to be
Our first room smelled so bad we had to walk out the second we walked in. Very unclean and dirty.
They gave me extended checkout till 1
Room smelled like smoke. Kids had to sleep on floor because they said there was a pull out sofa and there was not. Pool was green. No spoons for oatmeal no drinks for kids only coffee
Room had comfortable couch, tv, tub, kitchen.
I could hear every single movement of the person in the room upstairs - thundering footsteps, creaking bed, tv. Needed to sleep with headphones, so wasn't a restful sleep.
The breakfast was very minimual. There was oatmeal, muffins, granola bars and coffee. No cold cereal, no milk or juice, no hot tea.
Location near public Transp- Rail & Bus
Carpet was dirty. They cleaned it after I requested. Weekly cleaning was not thorough.
roaches in both of my rooms. AC didn't work in 1 room and was told that because I booked through Priceline I could not be reimburse or be given a discount. the medical discount would have been cheaper than the priceline cost of the rooms. Very disapointed
The location of hotel, right in the center of everything we needed
smoke, didn't noticed when I booked room, that there was smoking allowed, can't stand smoke, the pool had green water, children could not swim
The location was great, the medical center/Reliant Stadium area.
The television was inoperable in two different rooms and the pool water was greenish.
nothing really, disgusting floor and little to no room
you name it, there was nothing appealing to this hotel
The location is close to the medical center and it had a shuttle van from the hotel to the med center.
They are having plumbing problems. The toilet in my room was clogged four times and I heard other guests at the front desk reporting plumbing problems as well. The lobby area is nice and updated. The room is dated and in poor condition.
It was a pretty good location.
It was very apparent that they are not on top of maintenance. There were light bulbs that were out & things were not as clean as I would like. It seems that the last few reservations we have done through Priceline have been very low quality hotels.
Location to medical center. Room is well layed out.
Air condition is old system of unit under window, so cold in that part of room, warm in all other areas. Old and shabby.
poor customer service, unprofessional, leaking toilets in the rooms, no wifi access
no problem. everything is ok
cleaning and log of cockroach
Room was filthy, refrigerator & kitchen had visible spills, lamp had short, electrical outlet by bed was not functional, clock didn't work, room wasn't cleaned, no fresh linens provided, no ice buckets, no housekeeping, free breakfast was a joke.
The XXX per night price paid through Priceline Express. The foldout single sofa sleeper. Very comfortable queen size bed. Good TV. Having kitchen made it easy to have food available for our very picky 7 year old grandson.
The room was not as clean as it should have been, particularly the carpeting. The breakfast was a joke; Extended Stay would garner more respect if it didn't offer breakfast at all. Needs cold cereal and milk, hard boiled eggs and juice.
The location, it was accomodating to our needs which was the Medical Center.
We used a third party to reserve our room and when we arrived we given a smoking room with 2 Queen beds. The first room had problems with the key opening the door. The clerk came up stairs with a slim jim and other key and did not work. No hot breakfast.
The location is very favorable to the Medical Center and a variety of other destinations in the southern half of Houston.
The free wireless internet is very slow and at times barely functional. The posted breakfast time runs to 9:30 am, but on the Saturday I was there I arrived at 9:10 am to find the coffee all gone and the waffle maker already removed.
The beds are hard as a rock and you have to get ur own towels etc.
My husband and I traveled to Houston for medical reasons and found Extended Stay to be most convient. The hotel is close in distant and provided hourly shuttle service. We plan to stay there on our next visit. The staff is friendly and the price is most affordable.
The purpose of the trip was a medical one, so the closiness of the hotel was great. The staff was very helpful and very responsive to the inmediate needs. Though the hotel is not considered a 5 star hotel, the service given and making you feel confy, makes it a 10 star place to be.
Summary says it all, old, worn, not too clean but convient for MDA patients. Also, breakfast is a joke. unless you are at the medical center stay away.
Because I was undergoing medical tests, and without my husband who could not travel with me that time due to family commitments in South America, it was of the essence to feel extremely relaxed during my time there. The momnent I arrived I realized the choice someone made for me, was just as if I had done it myself.
Perhaps everyone else beat us to breakfast, but we had to go elsewhere to eat.
I had a sverely ill family member that forced me to travel and stay near the med center in Houston. I chose Extended Stay due to its favorable location. It was within walking distance from the Texas Heart Institute at St. Lukes. First of all I had to switch rooms due to a broken toilet. The rooms themselves are just ok. Very small but I was not there but to sleep, basically, so not a big deal. Even though extended stay, could be a help to have basics as soap, shampoo, etc. This place did not.
