Newness and cleanness.
Everything....especially late night restaurant availability
Bed was hard, valet tried to driver car which is a stick shift without knowing how and my car is running funny now.
No swimming pool
Location and staff
Lack of pool, poor parking, view from room was to a hallway (lack of privacy, lack of security in valet. (Someone had their car broken into) had our son and they wouldn't give us two beds and stated they only had 3 rollaways which were all being used.
Was liked to and no apologies or help was given
Need a pool
Everything from the furnishings to the bedding was excellent. Very classy hotel with little extras in the room to make the stay even more comfortable.
There was no option for self parking. We had to valet for $28 per night. Valet was efficient though so it wasn't too bad. The area around the hotel is pretty dead at night. No restaurants around were open. Had to order room service.
Professional yet friendly staff. Room was great. Loved the rain shower and ceiling fan. We had an interior room and stayed over on a Saturday night, so we did not have any problems with the construction going on all around the hotel.
Staff and food are great - location is wonderful (i stay at downtown hyatt and hilton mostly and this hotel is close to same clubs and venues)
i have never seen a 4 star hotel without a pool ..... have you?no poolno poolno poolno pool did i mention, no pool?
LOCATION TO EVENT VENUE
CEILING FAN A BIT NOISY
Clean room, comfy bed, good breakfast in room.
Valet gave wrong keys and my husband got stuck at the store after midnight and it was closed in Downtown Houston. Provided for a dangerous situation. He drove me in his personal car to bring him the correct key fob.
Our room wasn't ready an hour and a half after check in. We were not told that we would be forced to valet for $28. Our room was missing basics like coffee and there was a little card out telling us to use the provided earplugs, but there weren't any.
Parking garage and Internet (wifi un room) is too expensive.
The hotel was in a good location.
The construction going on 24-7 all around the hotel.
The bahthroom was spacious for a standard room. Bed was comfy and warm. Large flatscreen TV with HDMI inputs. Nice staff. The free wifi reached my 2nd floor room.
Expensive parking. Some windows face the only lobby.
It's location is perfect! Right across from Minute Maid Park. It's walkable to the theatre district with nice weather.
It'd be nice to be warned about the $100 hold on your card. Also, the bar staff was very slow with only a few people at the bar. Food was bland. It was better when it was Inn at the Ballpark.
It was a nice, clean hotel
Parking- valet was $29?!?
The room was very comfortable, the bed was like home. They had everything a person could want except a microwave.
The manager that was on at night was not a very nice person. I had to 'add a day' and they got all confused about that. On the second day they told me that I was not a registered guest even tho I had paid for 3 days. He got very nasty about it.
I love the hotel décor. The cleanliness.
Customer service need a lot of improvement
The manager was rude and unhelpful. I was billed over $100 for a phone call when I called reception and was quoted a much lower rate
1. Coffee maker did not work. 2. Chicken bone in my meal, but no accommodations were made. 3. Meal overpriced. 4. NoWiFi in room.
Is was a close place for us to stay for a concert
drab looking...room was nothing like you would think it would be, being a Westin Hotel and all
The staff was kind of rude. They made it difficult for us to get the benefits of being a platinum member. Someone on the maintenance staff also ran over my sunglasses with his cart and continued to roll down the hall laughing hysterically.
I received too many unexplained charges at this Hotel.
It was clean
No pool, could not accommodate many people, not enough staff
Horrible parking. They nickeled and dimmed everything. Not even coffee available in lobby. Charged for Internet.
the locations as well as the amenities in the room
i had to be moved because I requested a King size and I was given double beds and it was really noisey due to a party in the hotel
Location, Location, location
THE UNPROFESSIONAL Business Manager
That the lobby is now warmer than when it was the Inn at the Ballpark, which is good.
The $28.50/day plus tips for valet parking seems excessive. The Hilton allows self parking at $23/day.
The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable.
The lady that checked us in was very cold and disinterested. We literally came directly from our wedding to the hotel and could not contain our excitement and happiness. It was all she could do to acknowledge our existence.
The bed/room. That manager Chris Z helped correct the poor experience we had. If not for her the trip would have been a total waste.
They did not clean my room. I had to ask for room service every day I was there. Plus my key stopped working after every day. More than once I had to go to the front desk and get a new set of keys.
The interior of hotel looks great. The location is convenient for Astros and Dynamo games.
Valet parking at $23 is required. Self-parking is not an option. Breakfast will cost you another $20.
They blamed Priceline for lost reservation yet they had a computer tech working on computer. I had to wait for 30 min before check in and was checked in with no room keys. I had to leave my room unlocked to retrieve an item from my car.
was checking out of the hotelknowing that I will never have to go there again.
unless you're going to Minute Maid Park don't stay here there is nothing to do and in that area
The restroom was spacious and the staff were very nice.
Valet parking costs $25 and is inconvenient. Very poor sound insulation. The guest in the next room made a lot of noise at midnight.
The hotel was quiet and clean.
The staff was not friendly, respectful, but not friendly. No smiles. I did not feel welcome. The only option of parking is to valet which was extremely high priced. The sign saysxxx a day but after taxes it come toxxx excluding tips.
Close to Vic and Anthony Best steaks in Houston and MinuteMaid park. My 3 year old loved the Baseball theme, But we were told that will be changing soon since hotel is under renovation to become part of Westin.
We arrived late after 9pm the front desk staff member was not very friendly of welcoming especially after a long drive in. Day-shift was much better. Hotel was under construction so lots of dust and construction workers every where during the day.
the room looked nice
to start of it was very noisy inside it was under construction it smells like paint thinner and paint there was dust all over the front of the hotel the elevator smelled like paintI was disappointed with the construction that was going on
The main and only perk to this hotel is it is just steps away from Minute Maid Park.
This hotel was a 4 star hotel that did not even have the amenities of a 2 star hotel!!! No gym, no pool, & no microwave or mini fridge in room!!! Overpriced 4 star at 2 star level!!!
The location was great
The free shuttle broken, the hotel was under construction, the only room they would give us was a king and there 4 in our party. No rollaways available, had to sleep in the chair. The valet lost my house keys, when I called to tell them they looked and fo
Upgraded my room to suite for 20$
Wifi didn't work, no parking except street, phone didnt work, hotel lacked pool, business facilites, treated me like a kid instead of an adult.
We loved the baseball design of the hotel.
The hotel has been sold to the Westin Chain and it was under construction with scaffolding everywhere. They are changing the design of the hotel to look like all the Westin Properties which is nothing special and certainly not 4 Star. No Pool at the hotel
Yes, they have a severe bed bug problem. I stayed in room 606 and awoke in the morning with multiple bed bug bites on my chest. It has now been 4 days and I'm still struggling with extremely painful rash, blisters and allergy to the bed bugs.
The hotel was undergoing renovations and the entire lobby was completely covered in scaffolding. Valet parking was the only only option and cost $25 which was a little excessive, but was pretty much mandatory
We could not have been more pleased with the accomodations and proximity to the Astros stadium. Rooms are beautifus as is the rest of the hotel. Will stay here again.
