Finding used undergarments left from the previous guest; bed sheets had body odor.
the staff very nice person...the staff was great
the room was very dusty and the sheets of the bed not to clean
The unconventional 6-person room was perfect for our needs. The hotel is way nicer inside than its exterior suggests. Price was pretty unbeatable.
Linens had a few sketchy stains, but nothing terrible.
This is an excellent ECONOMY CLASS hotel. The room was bright and clean, furnished nicely with a desk and chair, free Wi-Fi, good TV with an amazing number of channels, and enough on the free breakfast to get you going for the day
Drink machine was broken, had to walk to the store next door.
Very clean and quiet.
No breakfast bar or restuarant in the hotel. But there are places nearby for food, etc.
The rooms were very clean. I liked the fact that I could adjust the air conditioner to my comfort and not feel like I would freeze like in most other hotels.
Location was perfect for our visit to Houston, TX. Close to downtown Houston, without paying $100 plus for a room. Parking was free. Breakfast included with room was good: eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries
Location is great, but due to current road construction, the hotel is difficult to reach, until you find detour routes. Dinning area is small, seats about 6 people.
The toilet clogged for no reason. The phone in the room was broke, so I walked to tell front desk. She handed ME a plunger. It did not work, told front desk who got me another plunger to try. I told her NO. I did not pay to be a plumber here for HOJO.
The noise from the highway was awful. The night staff person wasn't very pleasant either.
The room was very clean and the people were sweet.
I like to run and did not feel comfortable running on the road. That was the only issue I had.
Proximity to downtown area.
A lampshade broke during the night and I reported it the next day, and also told the receptionist, but they never bothered to fix it.
Cose to our destination and very clean
Staff is not very helpful, and continental breakfast is very disappointing
Very close to the freeway. Located within 10 mins driving to downtown.
Great location if you need a place to sleep and get some rest. Right off the freeway.
The location's not great, but then again, it's an okay 'waystation' type of location.
Room was large, clean, well decorated, comfortable and quiet.
The hotel is located in a very remote location not within walking distance of anything. I did not feel safe in the neighborhood and not with the only staff member that checked us in through bars in a window that we walked up to outside. We felt so uncomfortable that we took our things out of the room during the day only to bring them back in with us when we needed them at night. It was clean but I would not every stay there again.
The people running this place were INCREDIBLY rude and unhelpful. The hotel itself is tiny and cramped, the parking lot entirely too small even for the few rooms they have, and most importantly, our room STUNK! It smelled like a combination of bug spray, harsh cleansers and cheap room deodorizer. We did not feel safe inhaling that. When we asked for another room, the clerk refused and when we told them we were leaving , the manager said to the clerk (right in front of us) 'Go check the room to make sure they didn't do anything to it!' We had stayed here previously, about a year ago, and had sworn never to go back for the very same reasons, but had not realized it was the same place until we got there! We won't make that mistake again!!!
We came in for a conference in April of 2009. The hotel is not safe for two single girls. Strangers wandering around, very scary. The staff was rude, not helpful at all. Would not help call a cab, when asked to suggest a place for dinner he said look in a phone book, difficult to get extra towels. The bed was hard, the place smelled, chipped floor, ripped curtains, smelly fridge, the lights dim when you use the microwave, little water pressure...I can't say enough to tell you...DON'T STAY HERE!!! I have done a lot of traveling across the country and have never stayed in a place where I felt this unsafe. Yes it was cheap....but you get what you pay for.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. I was in town visiting friends, and they had followed me to the hotel to help me get settled in. Upon arriving, the (extremely rude) stereotypical hotel manager/clerk informed me that there were no guests allowed. I assured him I was the only one staying the night, and that they were just here waiting for me to get settled in. He got a harsher tone and said that there are no guests allowed to even park at the facility, and that they would be monitoring this. I had never EVER been to a hotel that did not allow a single guest to even be in the area. I was traveling alone, and as a female, I wanted a few friends to know where I was staying and to visit when possible. I had paid almost $ dollars for one night, and I could not even have the people I was visiting come over to see me. It made no sense. After shrugging it off, I decided to go see my room anyway. The only source of light was from two lamps and the bathroom light. There was a switch at the entrance, but there was no overhead light and the switch did not work. I was at the end of a dark hallway. At that point, I turned to my friends and told them there was no way I would stay alone here without visitors. I returned to the office and gave back my room key. Rude as ever, the clerk did not try to help in any way. He only told me 'no refunds'. That night, I slept on the floor at one of my friend's house. DO NOT STAY HERE!
