There is also a steam bath as well.Isla Mujeres has been enjoyed as a healing sanctuary and energy center since 1300 AD when the Maya made pilgrimages to the shrine of Ix Chel to make offerings to the goddess of the moon and fertility. We have continued that tradition combining the very best of modern and ancient healing arts. Our 'Hotelito' or little micro hotel features ten suites, each with a theme, such as "Serenity' or 'Abundance' - you'll learn more on the Suites page. Most suites feature full tubs for purifying and relaxation. Herbs and salts have been selected for your convenience, custom blends are available on request. Small kitchens with refrigerators, range tops, blenders, tea and coffee pots, and of course, cooking and dining utensils are available in all suites but one. Linens are 100% cotton, laundered and sun-dried - a delightfully comforting experience. Casa Ixchel is 'island relaxed'. If you are looking for a full service, liveried staff hotel this may not be your best choice. However, if what you want is an 'away from it all' immersion in the natural Mexican Caribbean - uninterrupted sea, sun, moon and stars - you can do no better. Yoga classes are available close by (five minutes by bicycle) at Isla Mujeres' new Yoga Center. Casa IxChel can be booked for an intimate wedding overlooking the Caribbean with a selection of traditional and shamanic ceremonies available. Renew your vows, life celebration and baptisms. Reception hours are 9AM a 5PM. Should your arrival not fit this schedule, please let us have your itinerary in advance so that we can accommodate your arrival. Daily maid service except Sunday.
