Jackson-Evers International Airport is located approximately 20 miles from Downtown Jackson, MS and is one of the largest airports in state. The facility was constructed in 1963, and underwent a major improvement in the early 1990's. Today, Jackson-Evers Airport is served by eight airlines, and non-stop flights are offered to eleven U.S cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Orlando, and Atlanta. Airlines that operate from the terminal include Northwest Airlines, Delta Airlines, Continental Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and U.S Airways.
The airport features one Main Terminal located on three floors. Airport amenities located throughout the terminal hall include a variety of food establishments, snack bars, and gift shops. Wireless Internet is available throughout the terminal hall, and designated smoking areas are located outside the terminal building. To assist passengers with transportation, ground transportation and rental car booths are situated on level one of the terminal adjacent to baggage claim. In addition, airport personnel are always on hand to attend to any concerns, give directions, or provide specific information on flight arrivals and departures.

Main Terminal
Jackson-Evers International Airport consists of one Main Terminal hall located on three levels. Terminal floor 1 features baggage claim, rental car booths, and ground transportation. Terminal floor 2 features ticket counters, check-in booths, security checkpoints, and two concourses. East Concourse contains gates 1-4; West Concourse contains gates 15-19. Conference center is located on Terminal floor 3.
