Overview

The Mermaid & The Alligator is a very small bed and breakfast that’s located in Key West. The business is housed in a Victorian building from 1904 and gives its guests an intimate setting for a romantic trip. The rooms in this B&B feel very homey but still have some of the original Victorian charm.

There are only nine rooms at The Mermaid & The Alligator. All of the rooms have their own individual décor and stories. There are six that are located in the Mansion. These have spa-tubs, queen or king beds, and walk-in showers. The other three rooms are in the Garden Cottage. These are very private and offer more peacefulness. The building is surrounded by tropical gardens that add to the atmosphere. All rooms have air conditioning and private patios.

Breakfast is served every morning out by the pool. There are cookies and lemonade provided in the afternoon, and wine and cheese for guests in the evening. Off the property, guests will find plenty of places to dine. Little Pearl is a seafood restaurant just three minutes away. El Siboney Restaurant is Caribbean and just four minutes from the property. For something sweet, guests can check out Better Than Sex – A Dessert Restaurant Key West.

The Mermaid & The Alligator is an adults-only property that has free parking and breakfast included. Guests will also find a pool on the property and free high-speed wireless Internet. The property is right in Old Town Key West so travelers can walk to much of what they’ll want to do in the area.
