Overview

Kings Canyon National Park Hotels John Muir Lodge is in Grant Grove Village and close to Grant Grove, which has giant sequoias. It was built in 1998, and it has lodging for guests who prefer quiet, comfy, national park accommodations. The rooms have open beam ceilings, fireplaces that are made of stone, and a mantel that is made from redwoods that were recovered from historical cabins in the Sequoia National Park. Guests of the lodge can play games, puzzles, and read books from the lobby’s great room. There are public balconies available to view the sunsets.

Wireless internet is available in the common areas. The internet is quite limited, though, because of where the Lodge is located. There are no streaming services available. The rooms at the lodge are bright, and natural light fills the rooms. There are porches with chairs and rockers too. There is the Grant Grove Restaurant that is family friendly. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The lodge is open year-round, and it has 36 rooms in Kings Canyon National Park. The park is named for a Scottish author and naturalist, who wanted to preserve the parks. The lodge has several amenities. These include private bath, flat-screen TV with cable, mini-fridge, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, coffee maker, telephone, central heat, housekeeping done daily, table and chairs, and furniture from locals.

There are many seasonal activities here. Hiking is popular, also fishing and rock climbing. The serenity and beauty is some of the best America has to offer.

It was a great spot to see both Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP’s. There’s a nice little village with a restaurant, a market and a gift shop. There are no elevators so you may want to ask for first floor if you’re older..
