My family would recommend this motel/hotel for any style of traveler… young, business, family, or senior. These are the accommodations for you! I cannot believe how impressed I am with this Days Inn, in Lanham, MD (zip: 20706). It is unlike any Days Inn you have ever experienced. This is a five star hotel with an economical price (for the Washington DC area). We are talking: flat screen TV; plenty of outlets (for your electronics); two tables, three chairs, two beds, refrigerator, microwave; marble top amenities in the updated bathroom (check out the picture of the fancy shower); quiet air conditioner that keeps you exceptionally comfortable. You can tell I am not use to staying in lavishness, since I am extremely budget conscience; therefore, getting all these “goodies” within my price range, was a real treat! Don’t pass this up if you are in the Washington DC area! We are here for our granddaughter’s Naval Academy seminar. (Unable to upload the picture.)
I had high expectations for this Days Inn from previous reviews. When Igot the first thing that worried me was the bulletproof glass at the counter. I thought maybe I was arriving at night it was up but they have it up all the time. Check in was OK. Try to get info about the Metro stop and where it was. Clerk gave me vague info of location. I walked outside to see if you can walk to the Metro. I did not venture out to long. The area did not look safe . there were When parking the car I saw they had a security gate that was broken. I wonder if the place is in a high crime area. I did no feel safe for my car. This is the first Days inn that provides NO breakfast.there is a restuarant that no one used whe I was there. There are 2 fast food places in walking distance. The best part of staying here was the rooms. Very nice the Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked and clean. There is a railroad behind the back of the motel so if you are a light sleeper it could be a problem. The metro is a short 5 minute ride. You can not walk to it
I had a great experience with this hotel. Clean room, and it had all the necessities needed for a traveler. The only thing is they could had more parking spaces, however everything was a good.
Only complaint is that they advertise a breakfast but,in fact, they do not offer one. Other than that the place was clean, quiet and comfortable. It's a short ride to the Metro which was convenient. Also close to I-95 and I-495. I found this place to be a good value for the dollar when all you want is a nice basic room. Found nothing glaringly wrong with the hotel and would stay there again
This Days Inn is in a rapidly developing area between College Park, MD and Washington DC. Easy access to the Beltway but you don't need to drive. The New Carrollton Metro station is barely 5 minutes away and it has a park and ride lot. The hotel restaurant was not completed when we stayed, but you could walk down the service road to Red Lobster or fast food. More options within a short drive.
I had a good experience at Days Inn-Lanham, so I can't complain. The room was clean and nice, very well-kept. The only thing was the staff couldv'e been a little bit more friendlier, and faster with check out.
Hotel was located close to a highway therefore it was easy to locate. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall stay was a good experience.
Some of the lights at the room were not working, and the bed was not in the optimum condition, but my main reason for not returning was the front desk lack of courtesy. He started out decently, but then got nasty when I asked for a refund for a coke machine that took my money and was not working. He also refused to refund my money when I told him I want to leave, but then got scared s***less when I threatened to report him. He also refused to call his supervisor. Overall it was a terrible experience the night before a major day that I had coming. I will not return.
This hotel was very clean and nice. The room was well equipped with what I needed. And the staff was very nice. I would defiinitely stay here again and at a very reasonable price too.
We have the location convenient to the Metro (one mile to New Carrolton station). Disappointment was that there was NO 'courtesy breakfast' of any kind, not even coffee or juice. The Days Inn website did not list this as available but online does. The Days Inn website did show a photo of a ''breakfast area'' which led us to believe there would be something. We found a great 'pancake house' a couple miles south, however. The bathroom was recently updated very nicely and was very clean. The Days Inn website indicates that rooms have small refrigerators or microwaves but our room (two double beds) had neither. The wireless internet access worked flawlessly during our three night stay. There were no security incidents but the lobby personnel are behind bullet proof glass so it did not make my wife and kids comfortable.
We tend to stay at inexpensive, two-star motels when we know most of our time will be away from the facility. Days Inns are inexpensive and usually serve our needs...but with plenty of borderline quality/service areas (cleanliness, features, staff attitude, etc.). Not this one...it was similarly expensive but surprisingly 3-star plus. Spotless, well appointed rooms, restaurant/bar on premesis, fitness center, free parking, friendly and helpful staff, free wi-fi, everything working that should work, and a rather large flat screen TV hanging onthe wall. We chose to spend more time at the motel than previously planned...it was that good! Hope they keep their 'Days Inn' rate. If they do, we'll be back.
THE ROOMS DID NOT HAVE A RESTURANT MENU AND I HAD TO GO DOWN TO THE ROOM TO SEE A MENU IN ORDER TO GET FOOD TP BE SENT TO THE ROOM FOR MY WIFE & ME. IT WAS ALSO SENT IN STIROFORM CARTONS WITH PLASTIC UTENSILS. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EXPERIINCING THIS WITH A RESTURANT IN THE HOTEL PROPERTY.
