"With rooms smack-bang mid-Strip, the former Barbary Coast may be Las Vegas' worst-kept secret for bargain hunters. The casino's tacky, turn-of-the-20th-century Victorian decor translates into basic but big rooms with brass beds, lace curtains, floral carpets, gaslight-style lamps and anachronistic plasma-screen TVs. It's often tough to secure a bed here, let alone to enter or exit the self-parking garage. But an older crowd of faithful regulars, mostly retirees, rave about the bargain rates they've found here, and how they've made friends with the blackjack dealers...." read more on Lonely Planet
