Exceptionally clean and cracking value for money.
Not easy to walk to.
Location rather souless. A bit like motorway services, you would not want to go outside the hotel for a walk.
Good points were very pleasant hotel with excellent facilities
Excellent facilities for disabled people.
Lack of staff, we had to wait for 1hour 15minutes for a drink and when we ordered food we had to wait 1hour 10minutes for it to be served and it came only after we complained. Some other diners sent their food back ,two other guests told us not to stay as the service was appalling. I had to go to reception to ask for a barman to serve us after dinner coffee and we had to wait almost 25 minutes. Not acceptable and we did make a formal complaint.
The restaurant was awful. We waited 1.75 hours to get food, even though there were only a few people in the restaurant. I ordered Lancashire hotpot and got a few pieces of boiled broccoli with a small fried steak and 3 tiny thin strips of potato on top. This was not a hotpot of any kind. It was awful and we decided not even to attempt breakfast the next morning. All the guests in the restaurant were comparing notes and complaining.
