They completely overcharged with hidden fees with no explanation or receipt. Just charged more then $400 ok my credit card after I paid in advance the rental car fees.

It was really hard to find the shuttle driver and when we did it took us to a sketchy feeling part of town took us into a warehouse and had us talk with a representative with a very heavy accent over a computer screen. We were not told where to bring the car back - turns out we had to find the sketchy warehouse back and they could not take us back to our hotel even though it was closer than the airport.

There was a minor scratch at the bottom of the front bumper which is not visible unless you are on your knees. As far as I am concerned we didn’t do anything to cause it. It may be already there and we didn’t notice when we took the care at midnight. At any rate my gripe is with how they handled this situation. We bought most expensive coverage possible with them which is twice the rental price itself. But during checkout they stalled us because of this issue even though we told them that we are cutting too close to our departure time and requested them to call the insurance and get it reimbursed because we already bought the coverage. But they insisted on us calling them and we couldn’t because we didn’t have local mobile plan. After lot of back and forth they checked other contracts on the vehicle and probably figured out that the damage was already there and the let us off the hook. It was a happy ending but the whole drama could have been avoided if they had customer service at the forefront of their minds.

I actually cancelled my reservation after finding out that their hours of operation start at 8:00AM. That doesn’t work for returning a car when you have a 6:30 AM flight. Would have been fine if they operated 24 hours.

Even tho I had pay the insurance by kayak, at the airport alamo was telling me that is not their problem that i should do it with them. At when i accepted the wated to charge 1000 us for the insurence, my remaining pay up for the car was 220 CAD dollars but they try to charge those in US dollars

The staff was extremely friendly and thorough.

Cons:

I understand the road restrictions with the odd/even numbered plates. We were told that we would have an odd numbered plate, which worked well for us because of the driving we needed to do on a particular day. However, they gave us an even numbered plate, which really messed up our day.

Cons:

I had serious difficulty finding the location to drop off the car. In fact, it was closed although Alamo claims to be opened 24 hours. I managed to leave the car at the designated place and have the clerk at the desk arrange for the checkup. I did make my flight, but it was a stressful experience. The staff was really friendly.

The customer service was not good I feel like the front desk person was no to happy to see me I feel bad at that time he was rushing me did not explain clear to me the contract and insurance coverage I told him I wanted the $11.00 collision coverage was offered by Budget but he give me other coverage I believe personal coverage I had small accident a hit and run cause a scrash and bumper was pulled a little the hit was at the passenger side fender I called the airport Budget office the phone number I was provided two ladies answered my phone call the second person she said that she was on charge of the office she said that I had treated because I told her that the amount of $1275.58 was too much for the car damage and I was going to call my credit card sbout that after that she start speaking to me very loud and telling me that I was treated her she explain me the coverage for injure not for collision and told me to be quiet at the end she hang me the phone call.

Rental price was only a 'base price' in which local taxes were added. In addition the car reserved was not available (they overbooked) and the upgrade to another car was not free. In the end more than double the price of the original rental agreement was demanded and the staff at the airport were not helpful or accommodating, borderline rude.

The car worked!

Cons:

Clutch was set too low (had to push it down to the floor to engage) and breaks were too touchy. Made for a very uncomfortable ride. Felt ignored for nearly half an hour when trying to find someone to give us the car.

i wouldn’t never recommend them……our fly got delay in miami 2 hours we were scheduled to land in lima at 8:30pm we got there close to 11pm they told us my reservation got canceled since i didn’t show up at 8 like i was suppose to be nothing i couldnt done in my power………..they offered the same car whit a higher price

Cons:

Got there at noon to pick up our car as per our reservation was told that there were no cars available and that our car wasn’t being returned until 3pm. Didn’t get there til 4. Then the AC didn’t work. Worst rental experience I’ve ever had in any country.
