Comfy bed, great view and safe location.
Requested housekeeping once every day for my entire stay (Friday-Monday) not once did anyone clean our room. Unacceptable. Complained about it to the staff, they said they would take care of it, but no one ever did anything.I JUST WANTED MY ROOM CLEANED.
Sometimes the hot water would take roughly 10 minutes before it started running. The location itself isn't something too exciting. It's in an industrial districts so you are literally right next to warehouses.
The hotel was in a great location. You get the big city feel without actually being in the big city. The subway was just a short walk away and the area felt safe. I would defiantly stay here again.
I wish there was something besides room service offered for breakfast. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We chose this hotel because of the affordable price. The subway was only a short walk then the ride into the city was only about 10 min. I felt very safe walking to and from the subway at night. The only complaint I have is there is really no breakfast option besides room service at the hotel, but there is a cheap diner at the subway station. You really get the big city feel without actually being in the big city. This was my first trip to NY I really enjoyed myself. I will defiantly stay at this hotel again next time I visit.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean rooms. Great view of Manhattan from a nearby river-side park.
The area between the hotel and the subway stations is quite run-down, but the hotel does provide a free shuttle bus service to the nearby subway stations. The hotel is in a warehouse area in the west side of Queens directly across Mid-town Manhattan. The area is a quite run-down, but appears safe nevertheless. Also, a number of new condo apartment buildings have been built and it seems the area will improve in a few years. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Court Square-23 Street station, served by four subway lines: 7, E, G and M, and has quick access to Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. A 10-miniute walk also leads you to the Gantry Plaza State Park with a great view of Mid-town Manhattan (think the UN, Empire State Bldg. and the Chrysler Bldg.) The area has very few decent restaurants or shops, except there is a DuaneReade drup stor...
hotel was nice and clean and staff was very friendly
This was a great hotel and I enjoyed my stay.
I wished that they offered free breakfast.Great hotel but wished the area had more eateries.
Staff was professional and helpful.
There was no pool.
Beds were very comfortable, water pressure was great, decor was appealing and clean.
Location was fine, I was visiting friends at an apartment fairly nearby. However, if you were looking to step out into the thick of a great neighborhood you'll have to walk a bit to get there. The neighborhood did feel perfectly safe, albeit industrial. You must not forget to put your Do Not Disturb sign up! Hotel was clean, well appointed, and quiet. As a native New Yorker I could certainly do without the standard New York attitude the staff sets forth. That includes YOU The Manager*
-Good price from Priceline. -Location is good. Only about two blocks away from the subway which will take you to Manhattan in about 10 min. It is the first stop in Queens. -Staffs are friendly and helpful -Free parking on the street when we are there
-Nothing really. We are budget travelers though so we don't have big expectations.Good choice if you are on a budget. The location is good. It is only a few blocks away from the subway with will take you to midtown Manhattan in about 10-15 mins. The room is OK for the price we paid. The staffs are helpful and friendly. Parking is free on the street. You need to be there on the weekend or at night to park. During the day it is difficult to find.
