Friendly staff, safe parking lot, clean rooms, free breakfast, comfortable beds. I was left wondering where the bad reviews came from. I only needed a room for one night so that I could be at Good Samaritan hospital at 6:00 AM the next morning. It was very adequate for my needs and I would use this hotel again if I needed.
The walls between rooms are thin and I could clearly hear my neighbors.
I liked the beds they were actually comfortable and the showers!!!!!
I did notlike the breakfast it was old stale food, I did not like the pool it was disgusting and I definitely did not like the neighborhood, kind of dangerous area!!!!
The location was convenient but not a great area of downtown Los Angeles, so expectations were not high. Had no problems with the neighborhood. The room was newly refurbished, committed green philosophy, with modern industrial décor. Large room, comfortable, very clean, good sized bathroom. Security was present and visible which was important as we were two females on the 1st floor. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Continental breakfast was pre-packaged muffins etc. However, they did always have coffee available and offered orange juice, fresh fruit, bananas, apples, oranges which offset the lack of heartier fare.
We went down for our daughter's FIDM fashion show debut. The hotel was just around the corner from her apartment, so the location worked out great for us. We were able to walk to almost everywhere we needed to go.
Can be a bit noisy. Breakfast could be better.
Kindness of staff, Quality and Circimstances of Breakfest
the continental breakfast they served and the staff
They run out of water for 6-7 hours and they did not let us know, there is not enough parking lot.
Unfortunately, noise prevented a full nights sleep for my wife and I. The next two rooms to ours(327)were occupied by young black women who were screaming and running through the corridor till 0100am. For three nights. On the second night of our stay someone, staff?, Was disposing of bottles into the recycling container from about 11:30 pm to 0100am.making a great deal of noise. On the fourth day of our stay the elevator was out of service. Lastly, the "breakfast" included in the stay should be more (inspiring)- a more variety of food. In the evenings, helicopters were constantly flying overhead at a very low altitude. The adjacent room doors slammed with a great deal of noise. Also,by shutting the sliding windows just resulted in a very stuffy room even with the air conditioner operating. We have stayed at Comfort Inn hotels in Europe with virtually no complaints.NOISE Is the major problem with this hotel!! The staff was exceptionally helpful.
compared to what was around us...hotel was like a paradise
