Location off highway,
The hotel is in excellent condition, especially considering the options in the Macon area. The guest rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the breakfast is delicious.
It's definitely a bit of a haul to downtown Macon. While the Bass area is really developing, you'll still want to hop in a car to go most anywhere. Natalia's being next door and Mellow Mushroom more or less across the street is fun though.
Clean and consistent with other hotels of a similar grade.
Matrrss was extremely firm and it seemed to be from wear.
The room was spacious and very well-furnished, and included a ceiling fan. There was a wide variety of breakfast items available in the mornings.
The breakfast area was not large enough to accomodate the number of people that were there trying to eat, and the staff was unable to keep up. During the night, people in the room above us were stomping back and forth loudly all night, keeping us awake.
The room was large and had everything we needed to have some friends over.
We enjoyed the hotel we have no neg. comments.
The handicap access room was as further away from the elevator, and from the lobby, than *ANY OTHER ROOM IN THE HOTEL*. What were these idiots thinking?
Shower head was not working properly
Closeness to shoping and restaurants
No canopy for drop off in rain, flooded parking
Fresh, clean, spacious
The room had a lot of space. The bed was very comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. The hot breakfast was very good the next morning. The staff was very pleasant and helpful as well.
very nice, good location and breakfast included! Next to interstate 75 with easy on off access.
I love staying at Homewood Suites and this one was no exception. A relatively new hotel (less than 2yrs old I think) and the staff was very eager to please. The room was fabulous and we were not far from all the things we wanted to get to in the city. For the money, this was a great deal. I would stay at the Homewood Suites Macon North again in a heartbeat!
I was very pleased with most features of this hotel. I was in a one bedroom suite and it was very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was nice, even though most of the hot food was cold. We arrived for breakfast between 9-9:30 each morning. The only complaint I have about our stay was they de-activated our room keys before noon...actually by about 10 am, so when we were loading the luggage in our car, we couldn't get back into the hotel or our room to continue loading. We asked the housekeeper and she let us in our room. I think if they have noon checkout, they should keep your key activated until noon. Other than that minor issue, I would definitely stay at Homewood Suites again.
Nice place upon arrival. Good location near good restaurants and a nice grocery store. Room was nice and large. I liked the bedroom being seperate from the rest of the room. I would have liked maid service to change linens or provide additional towels. Maybe they dont' do that everyday? One major issue we had, though, was that they turned off our room key about 2 hours before the stated checkout time. We were loading our luggage at 11am, and couldnt' get back into the hotel or our room with our key. We had to find a housekeeper to let us back in. That was inconvenient as we had to make several trips to the car for our luggage. I wish they left our room key on until noon, the stated check-out time The breakfast was a nice assortment of food, but was the food was cold both mornings. We arrived between 9-9:30 each morning for breakfast. The room was a nice size and comfortable. Maybe because the hotel wasn't very full they didnt' replenish the breakfast to keep it hot. Someone did get whatever I requested that they were out of...which was nice. The room was nicely laid out. The only problem was difficulty regulating the air conditioner. We couldn't get the room the right temp, either too hot or too cold, so we turned off the a/c altogether but the unit in the bedroom kept blowing regardless. As a matter of fact, it blew so hard it made the ceiling fan rotate. We could have used more blankets. The kitchen was nice and having popcorn provided was a nice touch. I would stay at this location again. Very quiet and private.
The best hotel in Macon! Best Breakfast and Cleanest rooms around!
