great location, great price
hotel was noisy and rooms were small
Staff were soso, hostel is high up on 3rd floor, room very basic but thats what I was looking for really
It is really really really close to the center of the city. 3-4 minutes walk to Gran Via and 10 minutes to Puerta del Sol and Calle Mayor. The guys at the Reception were very healpful in providing info about the city and in providing an extra blanket as it was a little bit cold in the room (14th of November and the heating in Madrid starts from the 15th :) )
The room was a little too small and as I said a bit cold, but with the extra blanket they provided I was able to sleep in my shorts and T-shirt. Good value for the money considering we wanted to visit the city and it was so close to the center.
Good location - Chueca. Close to clubs and bars. Very near to the metro and a walking distance to the city centre (Sol, Gran Via). Free wifi. english-speaking staff. 2 towels provided.
Crackling stairs to the third floor, where the hostel is. Every time you leave the room, you have to leave the key at the reception desk - quite strange. A bit dark in the room - the bulbs could be stronger!
Facilities really go crazy... But this stuff is usual for hostals.
the hotel has a lovely terrace. staff speaks english and helpful. price is superb with respect to location. chueca is an alive gay district. everybody is good looking and kind. lots of restaurants, bars, and clubs nearby. the hotel is between 3 metro stations, so almost every line is accessible.
breakfast is only biscuits and cake. street is noisy all night long, even at 5-6 a.m.
The staff was very friendly, the room itself was tiny but very cosy, like the fan:-)
very noisy at night, as there are lots of pubs and night clubs around.
The location was ideal and easy to walk to all the monuments and right off of Gran Via- great for shopping.
Very convenient location for metro to train, center, museums etc. It is a good value for being in the middle of a big city.
Very basic accommodation, small room, very little English, 3 flights of old wooden stairs are tough with suitcase.
