Located in the Ol-Choro Oiroua Conservation Area which is part of the Greater Mara bordering the Masai Mara Game Reserve at the foot of the Aitong Hills. Surrounded on three sides by the Mara River. The Fairmont Mara Safari Club has opened following an extensive renovation program. Surrounded on three sides by the Mara River- and on the edge of the worlds Seventh *New* Wonder of the World: the Masai Mara. Fairmont Mara Safari Club is the epitome of tented luxury.
Second visit here. A really lovely place and a great location even if you didn't go on any of the free twice-daily safari drives. Nothing quite as relaxing as watching a herd of hippos chilling out in the river. Outside the lodge, the wide open and rolling Mara landscape is a wonderful place to be. The guides know it like the back of their hands and can see what's happening from miles away. The staff in the hotel are great - laid-back and attentive when required. Can't wait to return.
The one thing I'd like the management to add is somewhere to do some excercise - a mini indoor or outdoor gym - or both.
