When I booked this hotel for a week they had a special rate that you had to pre-pay for. Now I know why. The room was really small, like a small dorm room. They knew they had you since you had to prepay for the booking for the rate. It should have been keep for a house keeping break area or supply room. I ask for a bigger room like photos showed and thought I ordered, We are booked was the answer. First and last time with this chain.
Pros:The hot tub was amazing
Cons:We had no toilet paper upon arrival, and there was no blankets on the bed
Pros:Very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons:Beds were hard and lighting in the rooms reminded us of a hospital stay. Not very homey. Only one chair and a window seat for seating outside of using the beds. Also, the wall of mirrors was a little overwhelming.
Pros:It was very clean and close to some park sites. The hotel staff was very friendly as well.
Cons:I would like more t.v. channel options or an option to rent a movie.
Pros:Overall value was good but keep in mind it's a discount hotel. Contemporary design was nice, and room was larger than expected being named "Micro"tel. Staff was pleasant upon every encounter.
Cons:The bed sheets had stains - even right open in plain view on the top sheet. We were pretty put off by that, but even worse were the hairs presumably from prior guests strung through the facecloths. I found them just after soaping a cloth and about to wash my face. Downright gross . Both of these are a real factor in deciding whether to return or not...will have to check out tolerance next time we're booking somewhere.
Pros:Comfortable bed, but not to Hilton standards. Big shower for the room size. Decent location, but a little far from the beach.
Cons:Room was TINY. A/C smelled moldy, but it went away after a few minutes. Just a few blocks from a ghetto part of town. Guy at the gas station next door was very creepy and kept hitting on me.
Pros:Clean, fresh and great staff.
Cons:Breakfast a little weak. Bath tub missing stopper.
Pros:Everything with one exception.
Cons:We would think much more highly of Microtel if some more protein (for example eggs in some form) had been available for breakfast. We are surprised that mainly fast carbohydrates were served, although they were very nice. A day that begins with a blood sugar spike from fast carbs is never a good day for us.
Pros:Location, price, comfortable bed
Cons:Knowing the name is Micro.... The room was too small for our comfort. Front desk staff rather unfriendly.
