Nice staff, location is the best
Extremely aged furnishings, lighting and bathroom fixture.Probably best location, it is next to Chinatown, one block away from Saint Catherine St, and one block from Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal. The interior of this hotel really need renovation, I felt going back to early 90s. The hotel staff are friendly.
Close location to Old Montreal
Poor channel selection on TVFantastic location, great price.
Some of the front desk staff were seemingly pained by the prospect of assisting.
Friendly staff, hotel is in a good location to visit old Montreal and the lobby is just gorgeous.
Headboard in our room was broken and carpet in both rooms were slightly wet.All in all, this was a great place to stay and when I go back to old Montreal, I will definitely stay there again.
When I arrived I had decided to try and upgrade the room...I was told had they been fully booked they would not have honored my reservation and had I not used Priceline I would have been aware of many other room choices. When we decided to go to dinner at the main restaurant we were told by two people at the check in area that the main Chinese dining room was not open and we would have to eat in the bar/ lounge..we did the food was dreadful, service was awful and we were charged...we did not order alcohol just nearly $100. The next night we had a full dinner in the restaurant for $68...we were ripped off and they sure do not like Priceline in that hotel...they were very disrespectful of your company and they overcharged us and basically tricked us as we later found out the dining room was open for dinner...the hotel was in a wonderful location for what we required but it is dated ...we payed nearly $xx for 4 days and our view was of a roof and roof fan...no microwave...
at check in, the concierge desk told me he can only give me one queen size bed with smoking room even though I requested two queen beds with non-smoking room thru priceline. he told me that there is no guarantee that we can get the room we requested.
The lobby is very nice and the location is great. The staff was very understanding, especially when I explained I needed a non smoking room because of my health condition, they changed it even if the contract allowed them not to respect my choices.
The room was average, especially the bathroom that is way under what I would have expected in a Holiday Inn. It consists in a plastic tub and it looks pretty old. The pool is tiny and cold and not clean at all. The sauna was not working.
Rooms were slightly outdated but everything was in good repair. Long narrow countertops in front of bathroom mirrors made it easy for four women to do their hair and makeup at the same time.
The staff were excellent and the rooms very clean. The coy pond around the restaurant was beautiful. An awesome place to have a relaxing meal. Location was perfect as I was attending a conference at the Palais de Congress.
WiFi access was difficult to maintain. It was very slow and I was frequently kicked off the system, having to sign back in with my hotel password each time. The staff and room itself were excellent. There is a coy pond around the restaurant which made for a very relaxing environment to eat a meal. It is right across the street from teh Palais de Congress, so was very convenient for me as I was attending a conference there. I was able to take a bus (747) from the airport to the downtown and it was only a 2-3 block walk from the bus stop to the hotel. The only negative was the WiFi access. I was trying to do some work in the evening. Refresh was slow and the connection would cut out about every 5-10 minutes. I had to sig...
