A lovely building with mostly good staff and nice food
We had to wait a long time for our dinner order to be taken, the restaurant was cold and we felt that it proved to be a very expensive one night stay at £300
Staff & warmth + view excellent
The Dinner & Lunch menu was the same There was nothing plain on the menu ie, the pea & ham soup tasted sweet! the steak was served with Cray fish & was tough.Who ever designed the rooms should get their 70 + grannie to sleep in one! I could write a book about what is wrong with the rooms.
The grand spiral staircase beckons one to ascend - it is a magnificent yet functional design. The glazed terrace invites relaxation and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. The rotunda bar, whilst being expensive was not unreasonably so and its design is out of this world. The room was very well "turned-out" and cleanliness was next to none - full marks to the housemaids. Reception staff were very willing and able to help with all matters that arose
The food was gourmet style and very tasty. However, I do not like feeling hungry after finishing a meal, as I did when leaving your restaurant. Food quality excellent, food quantity very poor value for the price.
magnificent art-deco interior, fabulous views from very comfortable and functional bedrooms, excellent food served in lovely glass fronted dining room overlooking Morecambe Bay, difficult to find fault, one night was not long enough
Hotel staff were friendly and made up room swiftly. The rooms were designed very well beautiful surroundings.
Spa was closed. As we checked in we were told that the spa was done that corridor but was closed today. Not much use to us. Should have been informed before. If you were there only for a relaxing spa break you would have been very disappointed
