The first day there the room was extremely hot. We called front desk and a repairman came to our room at midnight We had already went to bed. He gave us a box fan because it was 75 degrees in our room. Another repairman came the next day and fixed it. Other than that the room was nice.
We had a wonderful stay.. This was a short trip for us, I am so happy we picked this resort. Service was great, and the staff was awesome... The complementary breakfast was also a great incentive..
We are hilton honors members and generally have pretty good experiences when staying at hilton properties. From the minute we 'tried' to check in, we had issues. Our room was not ready at the scheduled check in time. We were told we would be called, and about 4:45, I checked again to see if our room was ready. It was not, the desk attendant had to go back to see if she could do something. By the time we got our room, on the 9th floor, the keys would not work, we had to go back down to the lobby several times to get keys that would work. Needless to say, that was very frustrating since we were already worn out from the long drive. The room itself was ok, but housekeeping never brought us any hand towels for our entire stay. She told us we would have to call downstairs. I understand that this is a very busy Hilton property on the beach, but I think the hotel should employ enough staff to maintain the quality of service Hilton brags about. Internet is not free for silver members. The list goes on, but I'll stop here. I think you get the point.
Hotel was children friendly and the people staying at the hotel were down-to-earth. The manager's reception and free breakfast made up for any other expenses as far as the hotel stay. The rooms were clean and roomy with televisions in each. I liked how the sliding doors of both rooms led to a common balcony. Hotel right on the beach with it's own private acreage. Lots of pools and jacuzzis.
Our 1st room smelled of mold, glass coming out of patio door frame (they repaired), and vomit smell on pillow & sheets. Our 2nd room had dead insects in the light above the dining table (they cleaned), shower head was broke (they replaced), towel rack fell off the wall, and there was mold on the grout above the bath tub. We asked for another room, but were told that they were completely booked and we requested that the contact us when another room became available, they never called. We have stayed in numerous Hilton prosperities and were very disappointed at this Embassy Suites Hotel.
I chose this hotel for the extra pools and the free breakfast. The pools and splash pool were a hit with the kids. This hotel is made for family fun. There were also two good resteraunts in house that had good food. The starbucks was good also. I will absolutly stay here again. The beach was clean and had beautiful white sand. The staff were all very friendly.
Great location - right on the ocean! Great pools and activities for kids. BUT - the rooms need a little attention. Our room (7th floor) had paint chips hanging from the ceiling, tile grout coming up from around the tub and floor in the bathroom and our refridgerator didn't work. Also, air conditioner temp never went below 70 degrees. When it is hot and humid like it typically is in the summer this is very uncomfortable. Elevators were extremely slow and always full - trying to get downstairs in the morning doesn't happen - you'll have to take the stairs! Breakfast buffet is delicious - but expect long lines and you'll have a hard time finding a place to sit. All hotel personnel were very friendly.
I've stayed in Myrtle Beach on numerous occasions. I've stayed at other Embassy Suite Hotels in various cities. This is one of the nicest places in Myrtle Beach from my point of view. My room was oceanfront vs ocean view and the view was available from the bath, the bed, and the sitting area. If you have an oceanfront view you won't be disappointed. The beach goes on for miles and is gorgeous. The decor of the room was tasteful and attractive. I did miss having a tub even though the shower was large. For a long stay there is plenty of storage room. My disappointments were the limited menu offered from room service, a parking fee to park in the lot, and limited spaces close to the hotel. Additionally wi-fi is an extra charge at this hotel which I'm finding is now complimentary in many better hotels. These little absent details detracted from my stay but not enough for me to miss the inviting and cushy suite. The comfort factor of the room is close to perfection.
Excellent hotel. Excellent customer service. Very pleasant staff. The hotel has an onsite mini water park that my kids loved. We enjoyed the stay. I would stay there again.
Our stay was good. It had a good location and the free buffet breakfast and Manager's Reception was excellent. The only major problem was that shower water kept on changing from really cold then to extremely hot and the engineer couldn't do anything.
The location of the hotel was wonderful. My room was very nice and clean. The pools are very nice, you had a lot to choose from. The kids enjoyed everything. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Hotel was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Loved the free breakfast and happy hours. Location could not be better!
