Asked for early check-in and wasn't able to check in till after the latest check-in time. Also was asked to pay more at check-in for "more taxes." The staff was a bit rude. Paid for an ocean view and was placed in the motel portion across the street from the ocean with no views. The room was filthy with water all over the kitchen floor and dirt in the beds. The bathroom mirror was covered with mold in the upper left corner. New toilet paper was not left for our use. Mold and water damage were apparent in the closet. Dirty linens were left outside of our door from check-in till check-out. We asked for one bed but were placed in a room with two beds. One of the beds was broken in the middle of the box spring and the headboard of the second bed was broken off and had fallen behind the bed.
Oceanfront garage was closed so only parking available was accross the street in a parking garage 100 yards from my building. Very inconvenient.
The manager was nice and fixed the couple of problems we had it was a nice clean comfortable stay
The man at the front desk was rude and didn't care about our problems my wife was in a wheelchair and we ask for a room that would accommodate that. He put us in a room where the only way was to walk up stairs we had the speak with the manager and she fixed everything :)
I love the price of my room. I'm a single mother with children and I was trying to find a deal that would not break me and I found that at Sea Mist. The staff were very friendly they answered all my questions.
The heated pool area had a musty smell. Not enough close parking spaces. The elevators were slow.
So close to the beach and the lay out of the room.
Bed was very uncomfortable. Location of the room in the building was terrible. People loudly came in through all hours of the night.

The hotel was nasty. Blood on the doors and bathroom vanity. Showers were gross, we kept our shoes on when we took one. The elevator was hit or miss, the staff told us as soon as we got there that they have stood for as long as an hour waiting for the elevator to come. We were on the 8th floor, so anytime we left our room we had 8 flights if stairs we had to climb/go down. There was no parking near the hotel, we had to park 3 blocks away and walk to the hotel. There was a Waterpark advertised with the hotel...they failed to mention you had to pay to get into it until we checked in. The staff was very unprofessional, we stood at the check in desk for 5 minutes before the rude receptionist finally looked up from her computer screen to ask "what do you need ". If this were my first trip to Myrtle Beach and thought this was all it had to offer, I'd NEVER go back. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone, not even enemies. If you go to Myrtle Beach, try to stay in North Myrtle...you'll thank me later.
i loved how the beach was right behind the building and easy access which is why we went.
We stayed there for three nights but the room was a little dirty. The sheets had stains on them which was disturbing. We asked for extra sheets and used those. The Stairs were pretty gross and almost moldy but the elevator was the grossest. Which is why we mainly used the stairs even though we were on the 6th floor. I recommend staying at one of the newer buildings
First 2 days stayed in with DND on door. Went out, came bac, had bag of towels on door. No one ever cleaned room while there. Booked as ocean view. You had to stand at edge of window to get a glimpse of ocean.
I liked that they had a water park for the kids. The room was spacious. Stayed there three times during stays at the beach.
Last stay didn't like the location of the room being on a back street with single mom of kids. Also out of all the stays never seen any time of bug what so ever .We checked in between 3 and 4 put our belonging s in the room and left. We did not get back to the room until about 11 and as we were getting our baths and settled in for the night, we saw couple of bugs. My kids wanted change room but it was already late and I didn't want to make big deal out of it,so I didn't bother calling the front desk bout it, but that's about the only thing I can say about that stay I dislike
The location was great. The water park for hotel guests was great. Totally worth the $3.
It was a little expensive for the amount of cleanliness and age.
The hallways where nasty, rooms look nothing like the pictures, not worth the money...will not stay here again.

Reservation was cancelled by them in error. Had to wait 4 hours for room to be ready. Watermark could not let us in because our room wasn't ready. We weren't in the system yet! Waited 30 min for this to be resolved and my kids only had 2 hours in park before it closed. We only stayed 1 night. Never again!!
The beds was not the best overall we had a great trip during our stay. Upon arrival there was 5 people complaining how room where dirty but we never had any trouble. Staff was helpful when needed. And would recommend this place for stay to anyone.

well the whole place is dirty.1st room they put us in was supposed to be beach front they didn't give us beach front 2. one elevator didn't work 2. the other one malfunctioned and almost took my husband's leg off and left him on an opposite floor. We did not travel with our pet but they put us in the pet tower. it's dirty smelly and looks like the projects. once I complained and went off they put us in the Tides building alot nicer and newer the other problem is there are about 5 or 6 buildings spread out all over and you have to try and figure out where your building is no one is polite or helpful they just watch you wondering around with your luggage trying to figure it out. Hotel.com shows you these awesome pools and waterpark. ex of why we chose it pools are dirty and over crowded nowhere close their is like one pool per building and the water park besides 1 slide and lazy river is a waste plus we had to PAY!!!! WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN

They double booked our first room and we never got a key to work at all for our second room so we had to get security to open our door for us every time we had to go in the room which wasted about half of our days there since they like to take their time on getting their priorities straight. They have younger people working in the daytime and none of them seem to care except for 1 guy on each shift that we were grateful to have. The resort itself is a bit outdated and the water parks a waste of $3. The arcade was probably the best thing about this place and all the pools they have are just about the same. When I go back to myrtle beach, I'll be staying on the north side since it seems to be the nicer end.

I asked for clean bedspreads before I checked in and was assured I would have them... I didn't. When I asked to have them delivered to my room o was assured I would get them right away... 2 and a half hours later I didn't.. I finally told them to forget it. I asked 3 different times on the day of check in for extra towels.. I never got them that day and it was only after asking twice the second day that I finally got them. For the money I expected Larger room and better service. I was disappointed. I don't think I would stay again nor recommend it to family or friends
We arrived late in the day and left early the next day. Our room was in an older building, near the main road. It was very noisy. We were on the fourth floor and never found an elevator.
Initially I wasn't pleased with my room, but the manager changed it as soon as I arrived, but their staff has always been committed to excellence.
That I couldn't have a later check out since I arrived so late on my arrival date.
The room was feet away from the beach. Enjoyed the fact that I could get their swiftly.
It rained and we could not enjoy you kid friendly pool . Really wish they told us if their was an indoor pool facility. It was my niece birthday would have liked discounts to some attractions like the was museum.
I loved that we were right on the beach, house keepers went above and beyond. Most staff very sweet and helpful. Plenty of swimming choices.
Parking is not that great. There are several buildings but you may not get to park near your building.
We were in the sandcastle building. It had its own indoor/outdoor spa and pool, it was right on the beach, plenty of parking, and it is pet friendly. Also, all of the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.
Some of the buildings looked pretty run down. The door frame to our bathroom was broken so the door would not close or lock. Not within walking distance to any bars (personal preference).

Room was clean and comfortable - if it hadn't been for that would have gave it a zero. Oh - and free wifi - but terribly slow.
The oceanfront room they gave us had a large kiddie pool in front of it - so even though it faced the ocean, and was on the ocean side of Ocean Blvd, every other hotel in sight was a lot closer to the ocean. Should have been an ocean view room/rate. Not sure if it's because we specified pet-friendly they put us in their crappiest building. Stucko falling off the walls on the exterior. They didn't vacuum the exterior the entire time, as there were french fries in the hall outside our door. They must have been there a long time as our dog didn't even want them. Elevators looked like someone had barfed on the wall and floor. It remained that way throughout our three day stay. I guess housekeeping takes the stairs with their carts or something - or they just chose to ignore it. Either way - it speaks volumes.
That I have finally checked out of the hotel.
The pictures on the website are not the same hotel. The rooms look nothing like was described. Almost all of the amenities were closed for the season and that was not stated. The housekeeping staff expects the guests to clean their own room! A member of housekeeping stopped at the room to tell us where to put our trash in the service ports as well as dirty linen. They just kept dropping by and leaving stacks of linen and towels and telling us to just drop the dirty items in the linen chute at the housekeeping area. What a fraud of a hotel! Some of the members of the party decided to leave mid-week and go to another hotel and just take the loss rather than stay there. It is a horrible, filthy, and run down establishment.

Elevators very slow, elevators dirty. In light lenses where trash. Front desk staff were ok not rude but when asked for great local seafood they couldn't give me any ideas. Another employee I think a janitor step up and gave me some ideas
