Towels were old and discolored, pillows were small an old, the bathroom had hair on the floor and in the shower, bathroom sink had old spit in it, bathroom mirror was half way wiped off with smeared toothpaste studs, alarm clock had the missiNguyen volume knob and didn't even work. When I called for more towels they said nobody could bring them cause the housekeeping went home.
The Staff was polite.
The room and most of the hotel had a bad odor, probably humidity, but it smelled dirty. V.
DONT EVER GO HERE WARNING WARNING WARNING--- Unless you like to pay for hidden fees and the super size rats that are IN THE BUILDING yes I said IN THE BUILDING-- I didn't see one in my room but I did the Biggest Rat going into a room like he reserved it--- And don't question the staff they will be nasty and rude for the remainder of your stay
I went into staying here with hesitancy because the reviews were not so wonderful, but for the price I had to book there. I was so surprised at how impressed I was. There is a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel and it was quick and easy. The driver was also friendly and fun to talk to. Once arriving, I was given great customer service. Yes, the hotel is old, but the room was painted nicely with an upgraded TV and plenty of space. Old doesn't mean bad. I left there 100% happy with my experience. Thanks for the great value Howard Johnson.
Close to the airport and with a shuttle service.
It is just for stop an go. No hotel to stay for a long period of time.
I think the overall quality is fine. Staff are friendly and helpful. Eating, daily sport and shuttles are great. If you just settle down and don't want to move far for food, you can enjoy the restaurant on 1st floor at a fair price.
The biggest pity is that the transport to downtown somewhat time-consuming and require people to change vehicle often. Secondly, I am not sure if it only happened on my laptop and cell phone-- the wifi signal broke often.
Hotel was convenient to airport for a late night arrival. Staff including shuttle driver was great.
Room smelled if smoke and mold. Mold in bathroom. Would be a nice room if some minor maintenance was done and thoroughly cleaned. Does not appear that owner cares about his investment.
Paid $300for an old crappy room. Had to wait 15 minutes to get on the shuttle that was running outside. The other shuttle was parked with the driver snoring away. I was going to miss my flight so I got an uber.
It was scary to stay there... It's old, dirty looking and I wouldn't ever stay their again!
I requested a non smoking room but it still had a stench of cigarettes. Other than that....it was ok.
I stayed there out of desperation. There were no more hotel rooms available in the area. It's poorly located, the planes fly right over head. The sheets had stains on them, I didn't even get into the bed. I slept on top. The place is just plain dirty.!
the fact that the hotel was in close proximity to the airport was the only good feature of this hotel.
the man at the front desk was very unhelpful. I believe his name was Semant. Once we paid for our overly priced hotel room we were led up to the level that stunk like marijuana. I had to turn the ac off because it was exhausting a horrid smell throughout the room. Upon departure we were told we had to 15 dollars for an undisclosed parking fee. We had to wall to another hotel down the road to eat. I would rather have slept in my rental car.
Price was low.
The restaurant had terrible food and service. Also did not sell drinks. No place near buy to even get a drink. The shuttle driver cancelled the shuttle to the city. I had to take the train.
Free airport shuttle was convenient, but you had to call ahead and the driver really didn't seem in any hurry to get to the airport.
The location was inconvenient to all places except the airport, and the location was shared with offsite airport parking located behind two guard stations that had been vandalized and smashed beyond repair. Just sketchy.
Room was clean and decent, included a mini-fridge and free coffee. Also had paper cups, much better than Styrofoam.
Cost $15 to park overnight, not included or disclosed in room reservation. Was told that airport shuttle ran every half hour 24 hours a day but had to wait for 40 mins and finally call for the shuttle at 12:30 pm from the Newark Airport.
Airport shuttle was handy
Location wasn't great. There isn't anything close, so the only food option is the hotel restaurant which is mediocre at best.
It sucked. dirty, bugs, unhelpful staff
very helpfuul staff
